  1. Geneva, Your right, we won't miss the food. Just a couple of bites of everything soft and we will be satisfied! This coming year is going to be so good for us! Blessings, Weazer
  2. Babygotback, Your description of witnessing was wonderful and your sincerity shines through! No wonder God chose you to be one of his saints! Blessings, Weazer
  3. Hello Wanda, Welcome! Glad your here! Blessings, Weazer
  4. Patty, Did you read her (Khalia) book? Is it good. Is it informative? Do you think it is worth buying? Thanks, Weazer
  5. Renewedhope and Godzgurl, Two new bandits! How wonderful for you both. My throat hurt for an entire week after the surg. I don't remember what I ate to make it feel better. Popcycles had a funny taste the first time I tried them after the surg. Now I eat a couple of boxes a week of them (the sugar free kind). Maybe warm tea or warm lemonaid. I am amazed at the wonderful people on this thread. You are all just genuine nice people. I thank the Lord for coming into our hearts and guiding and directing us each day. Thank you God for the technology that helps us to help ourselves. Blessings, Weazer
  6. Cindy, good to see you on this thread! I recognise a few of the other names as well. Some from the Christian thread that went silent for some reason...hopefully this one will stick! Patty, how much have you lost? We have a May Bandsters thread that you might enjoy. It is my favorite thread. Everyone is so supportive. I had my surg in May too. I have managed to loose around 40 lbs. (I won't know till I wgh in on the 1rst) (I only wgh in once a month) I have had 4 fills. I can still eat my cup or two...but the band has helped me so much. I am so sorry about the fires in CA and me and a bunch of friends are prayings. Blessings, Weazer
  7. Hello Brothers and Sisters, I think God is just fine with us having the surg. Most of us have health problems and it would be crazy to not get the help. I am sure like me you tried everything to get the wght off. I had my surg last may and have lost nearly 50lbs. Now that I am off the blood pressure meds...I am starting to feel more like my old self and am reading my bible again (the meds made it hard for me to concentrate). I am growing closer to God. I think most of us question if it is o.k. to have the surg. I did too, but I know I made the right dicission Blessings, Weazer
  8. All I can say is I am jelouse that you have 10 kids and raise goats and make cheese! Believe it or not...that is my dream. Cept maybe 5 kids ...ten might even try my patience! Bless you, I think it would be really hard even with the band to be around food that you love everyday. I have to keep the stuff out of my house of I eventually go for it. Hopefully you guys will have a better will power than me. Plus the band will help you allot. I would still have the band even if I was married to a 5 star baker. I think it would make a huge difference. Blessings, Weazer
  9. I have lost between 25 and 30 pds..They are now complimenting my closes everyday. I have had a few people notice the weight..but most of them say..nice blouse. It's funny.
  10. I'm happy in Texas too! 28 pds down and ready to keep on losin! Blessings from Denton, TX
  11. Well, I just had to come back today and tell you, I had my first PB. Isn't that funny, I never thought it would happen to me! I had made these little home made pizza's out of ww pita bread, and I guess I took to big of a bite. Oh my gosh, I felt like a swallowed a boulder, It was so painful. I said help out loud. Boy would I hate that if that happened at the cafeteria at work? I was scared to eat after that, but I started taking teeny tiny bites and chewed it so fine. It is true what they say about the fills starting to work a week or two later. My goodness, hope that dosnt happen again! Weza
  12. Phyl, That should have said 450 cals are way to low!
  13. Eva, Thanks for the welcome. When are you going to be banded? I am so excited for you! Weza
  14. Chimboree, Thanks for the welcome! It is good to be here. I only told one friend from the church and she was very supportive. i told one sis and both my daughters. (I am single). I included a couple of close friends at work. I chose not to tell my mom and some others..because I know my mom would moniter every bite that went into my mouth. So would some of my co-workers, I am just not in the mood for that! I get the support I need from some of these great websites that I have found. So glad I found this one. Phyl, down 22 pds, that's wonderful. 450 cals a day is way to girl! Your going to be eating more than that after your band. I average 900-1200 cals per day. you have the rest of your life to lose weight so you can take it slower. You don't want to be unhealthy. Plus, your skin won't look as good if you lose it fast. Shell, wow 47,736 bucks! My goodness, how long were you in the hospital? I was in and out the same day. Mine cost me about 2200 bucks after the ins. Well worth it though. I still have about a month till my second fill. I will decide as I get closer if I really need it. I don't want to be so restricted that I eat too much less than I am eating now. I feel good about my food intake. I know that that is always subject to change though. God Bless this beautiful country. I pray for peace in Israel. Thank you God for loving me so much that you chose me, a sinner, to be one of your own. Weza
  15. Hello, I found this thread last week and have started at the beginning. It is so nice to go through this experience with people who love the Lord. I live in North Texas. Had my band done on May 7th. I have lost 30 pds. I am able to eat anything (but I eat very healthy now). I have had no problems like nausea, etc...had my first fill last week. It went fine. I started my journey at 232, I am at 202 yesterday morning. This is so cool! I will check in tomorrow my sisters and brothers.... Blessings, Weza
  16. Tina, I am having my first fill tomorrow and I am very nervous. I was relieved to see you say it was fine. I had my band done on May 7th this year. I have lost 20pds. Lisa - Denton,Texas
