  1. Try and see what type of therapy you are receiving from your clinician. You may want to inquire about doing client centered therapy, this type of therapy revolves around the clients particular needs and will help you with your current mood concerns. I have to admit there are days I feel ust liek you do. Everyday is getting better but right now I'm in a financial burden and have so much stress that I just keep praying and pushing for the best. Please continue to post and gather support, you are not alone.
  2. Yea I would love to have a 100 lb weight loss but I am happy with what I have lost so far. It's hard not to want to have the results of others but in due time,it should come.
  3. Did teh dr say why no to take them. I just ask because I was never told this and I do take some Phillips Milk of Magnesia to help when my bowels don't move after several days. Always works and no cramps.
  4. Yes I hurt from day 1, but things got better around week 4. Your body may just need more time. If all your vital signs are normal and you have a lot of stomach pain then the dr may want to wait quite awhile until your stomach is safe to address. You have staples in there now and some people have different body reactions to the surgery. I hope you do get to feel better. Is there anything that you take or do that does help with your pain?
  5. I wasn't allowed eggs until week 3, and meat was an option at week 5. So I say if you can have meat eat it and wait till after week 5 to start your body needs all the protein it can get.
  6. I had the same pain issue, it seem liked my incisions would hurt so bad that I couldn't get any relief. I'm not sure if this is whats causing your pain. I would feel like they were shooting pains coming from stomach and they did not stop until week 4. Your stomach will need a lot of time to heal. 6 weeks out and I can say I don't have any pain what so ever from the surgery. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
  7. Congrats, I'm thinking you won't use it till almost 5 weeks just have to wait and see you may be able to get in there sooner if you feel up to it. Good luck.
  8. Yes Smoothie king cost as much as a combo meal, its a lot cheaper at home to make something. I go there once in awhile,no way I could afford it everyday. Example small 20 oz smoothie almost 6.00 including tax. That's Texas prices I'm not sure about other places.
  9. That's ok pretty smile, you are welcome, lol.
  10. I say its worth a try regardless of what the NUTS say because they say the same about the non baratric vitamins. Can't hurt . Loosing your hair is no good I would try anything if I had hair and wanted to keep it.
  11. Yea its just like the Dr's no one agrees on anything. Well go with with what you been advised. I can't see what it would hurt. This whole absorption thing is crazy to me because we still have the same bodies just a smaller stomach
  12. Do you have a Smoothie King, its a place that sells nutritional smoothies. I tried their smoothie called Gladiator it has 400 cals which is a lot but over 60 grams of protein in one smoothie taste great,no sugar. My nut recommended this.
  13. Don't waste your time NUTS say they don't absorb to our bodies and they taste like crap...... I thought it would be the best thing ever but was shot down because the protein is not sustained from the sleeve. I know its hard to believe but this advice is coming from a NUT.
  14. After the sleeve I did not feel the normal signs of hunger as you described. However I can still tell when I 'm hungry, and my sleeve does tell me when to eat. I usually time it I eat about every 3 to 4 hours. At times I can feel hungry in between meals but sometimes its just thirst and sometimes its hunger because I don't eat much. I get full fast off of a couple bites of food . I'm going on week 6 and its frustrating but rewarding. I usually eat till I feel comfortable because if I eat until I'm full I had to much. Everyone is different so just be careful and take it slow.
  15. Same thing happened to me, I got to were food meant nothing the texture was just nasty after the pre op diet.
  16. Depression is the biggest energy drainer, and some antidepressants like Trazadone make you feel really sleepy at low doses. You want to make sure you never forget to take your meds because you can have awful withdraws that are worse than low energy. Look into PRISTIQ (desvenlafaxine http://pristiq.com and BUSPAR ORAL USES This medication is used to treat anxiety. It may help you think more clearly, relax, worry less, and take part in everyday life. It may also help you to feel less jittery and irritable, and may control symptoms such as trouble sleeping, sweating, and pounding heartbeat. Buspirone is a medication for anxiety (anxiolytic) that works by affecting certain natural substances in the brain (neurotransmitters).
  17. 6 weeks post op having heart burn/ acid reflex anytime I eat anything breaded like a chicken nugget,or mild salsa with my scrambled egg. What is going on does anyone else feel like this after eating?
  18. Wow that does suck, just be patient because once the tummy is gone its gone for good.....
  19. I sweat so much just walking around outside, imaging on te tread mill may be what I need to kick back into this weight loss. I may go lift some dumbbells tonight for some brief excerise. I need to get my strength back up.
  20. I tried drinking some chocolate milk during my 2nd and 3rd week I was not able to deal with the taste, and I felt sick
  21. I'm sure it is hard to deal with but overall you are healthier.
  22. Keep up the good work looking great. I hope I see similar results. Its been so long since i have even seen the number 225 on a scale.
  23. Tell me about it,all that money could buy a car. I'm still a long ways off from needing surgery for lipo, tt, and etc but I 'm sure I will never have enough money saved in a million years .
  24. I get full extremely fast off of very little. You need to eat more protein products and the only way to stay off the junk is not put it in your mouth. Throw it away, give it away, just don't keep it near you if its your trigger food. If you made it this far on junk, then I'm sure you can make it farther on just eating protein for a change. There is no easy way to fight carbs.
  25. Take it one day one goal at a time. I believe we all suffer from the habits of pre op lifestyles. Here lately it seems when I even attempt at eating foods that I used to love now I either end up with real bad gas pains or just uncomfortable feelings period. This has been the hardest thing I have ever done. Don't feel to bad though looking at your ticker you have lost a lot of weight. Loosing weight and pushing yourself are very hard even with the surgery .
