  1. I've lost a mid size microwave and baby back ribs! Hey....where's the ribs, I love those???!!!! LOL I'm so looking forward to losing a new born giraffe!
  2. I heard the same about the Alli pill. One of the websites about it actually said to wear dark brown pants for a while. Gross! Not for me. Anyway, if you are banded you should only be losing 1-2 pounds a week on average.
  3. You slimed. That is sliming. PB the food would have come back up too.
  4. Keep walking, I think it may be gas. You will get gas pain in places you would not expect. Taking Gas-X helps also.
  5. This group would be the PGR (Patriot Guard Riders). And they ride all kinds of motorcycles. Awesome group of people.
  6. Not me. We (DH & I) had 2 of my step-daughters last night. They went trick or treating while I was passing out candy to the neighborhood. I didn't eat any. When it was over I still had a ton of candy left over in spite of passing out handfulls. So I took the bowl and dumped it in the step-daughters' bags. They took it home. Thank God!!!
  7. Well it just burns my buns when people say we are taking the easy way out. Bull. The band is tool, only a tool. You have to make it work for you. If you don't follow the rules, you will not lose weight, you may even gain it. You still have to diet and exercise. So don't believe for an instant that you have taken the easy way out. I'm just 4 weeks post-op and my appetite is back and I have not had a fill yet so I have no restriction. I am stuggling with myself everyday not to overeat, to make myself get off my butt and walk, walk, and walk. This is what they call banster hell, and I am there! Head hunger is another demon we have to tackle. None of this easy, but the band will be a great help. Keep your chin up. You made the right choice for YOU!
  8. I set my goal at 130 but have to tell ya, if I get to 150 I will be so thrilled!!! Even that would be a dream come true!
  9. OMG! You are so right! I didn't even think of that. Best of luck to all the 10's!!!
  10. I wish I had words of wisdom for you. I have never been in that position. Maybe if you chuckle like you thought he was kidding or the thought of being with him was just too funny, saying thanks but no thanks. I just don't know. I do know I'm bold enough to tell the jerk where to get off. But that is me. I hope all works out for the best for you.
  11. I can't even express my discuss for this group of assholes. I am such a supporter of our military, regardless of my opinions on the war, but the men and women who are and have given everything for us as Americans. I just get this deep down anger when I think about it. I too hope it all falls back on Mr. Asswipe and his turds of followers tenfold.
  12. I'm jealous too! I want so bad to do the tail of the dragon. I hear so much about it!
  13. I didn't want to eat either after surgery. I was about 2 weeks post-op before food even started to look good. You are only a week out, give it time. Besides, liquids are what is needed for the healing portion of this journey.
  14. I love it!!! But don't think I will be in any hurry to trade my "06 Convertable. I just love my Bug!
  15. I too had to remove all jewerly or any metal. My wedding ring had to come off, so did the barrett holding my hair out of my face. I was permitted to leave the ponytail holder as it was just elastic, not metal. Take the piercing out and put it back later.
  16. I was changing the sheets on my uncle's bed (he lives with me and DH) and he said my A$$ is getting smaller! I had to laugh as I told this 80 year old gent to stop checking out my A$$! He has also told me my face looks thinner. I don't see it myself other than in my clothes.
  17. I too was banded on the 5th of Oct. I'm eating way more than that. I can easily eat a cup per meal. And with the protein shakes in between I think I'm up to 1200-1400 cal. per day. I can't wait to get my first fill and I'm praying it will give me some restriction. Right now I feel like I can eat anything!
  18. How Rude! And you should/could have spoken up and said so! I know I would. Anyway, I can also understand your humiliation as I too have been there and done that! It sucks. Congrats on your band and best of luck. Come in here and vent anytime, you do have understanding people in the same boat to support you through your band journey. Keep your chin up, you are on your way!
  19. I will keep you company! I too want to eat, trying not too. I don't go for a fill until Nov. 13. 3 more weeks!!! We can be miserable together!
  20. I would think that each country's president would stand for that country. Are you confused by my statement? We were discussing America, the President, the National Anthem, the Flag. I don't see where other countries' presidents would be involved. I stand by my statement.
  21. You are at a higher risk of dying from obesity and the complications and medical conditions it causes than you are from the surgery. Think of the band as your life support!
  22. As much as I try not to judge, I am no better than the next guy and I do judge. IF this picture is correct and the statement is correct that Obama did not place his hand on is heart during the National Anthem, then shame shame on him. The Flag and our National Anthem stands for America. The President also stands for America. If the President has no respect for America, then get the hell out of it. And that goes for anyone who does not respect the Flag and Country our forefathers have fault for with their lives. Stop and think! Freedom is NOT Free. "In my opinion, Love it or leave it!"
  23. First let me say Congrats to your decision to learn to ride your own. Once you get off the back, sometimes it's hard to get back on, even just for short jaunts. I will always recommend a full face helmet. Make sure it fits properly. It can save your life and your face!! (yes, I know from experience) You will learn in class that your bike goes where your eyes go. So be sure to look where you WANT to go. As for bikes, whatever you choose you should be able to sit on it comfortably with your feet flat on the ground. I would not recommend a Honda Rebel as I believe the engine size is only about 250 cc which is really small. You should look for a bike in the 650 cc to 1100cc range. You don't want to buy a bike this year and out grow it quickly and be looking to upgrade next year. Both Honda and Yamaha have great bikes and you can find used easily. Best of luck and keep the shiney side up!!
  24. Have your HR Dept. call your insurance while you are sitting right there and ask the question.
