  1. Wishing you the best of luck Holly. All the support you need is right here. We are all pulling for you!
  2. Wishing you the best. It will be fine! I was just banded on Friday the 5th. So far so good. Good luck and keep us informed how you are doing.
  3. Only 16 hours to go and I will be in band land. I'm nervous and excited!:whoo:
  4. I get banded tomorrow the 5th. I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 AM. I'm glad it is early so I don't go nuts waiting all day.
  5. Congrats Catnip! Glad you are feeling better. I go in Friday, the 5th.
  6. Best of luck to you both. I go in tomorrow in the early AM! Let us know how you are.
  7. I too read the book "Banded for Life". It is excellant. I would highly recommend to everyone. I will read it several times again I'm sure before I get to goal.
  8. Hi Kristina and welcome! I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your baby. I can't and won't even begin to imagine how you must feel. I will tell you to hang in there. The band will help you lose weight for you to have a safe pregnancy with a happy ending. I too am a nervous wreck about surgery. I go in Friday the 5th to be banded! It's been a 6 month wait doing all the requirements the insurance company insisted on. But it's here and I'm nervous and scared and excited and having about every other emotion out there. You just keep popping in here for support. We are here for you. As for the sleeping, well, try dreaming of nice and thin you are gonna be!
  9. Hang in there. Everyone says it gets better! Thank you for posting so quickly, I go in Friday morning the 5th!
  10. I am scheduled to be banded on Friday, the 5th. I plan to be back at work on Monday the 8th, Tuesday at the latest. But I do accounting for a living, so sitting at my desk pushing a pencil will not be very difficult. And if I need to, I can go home early. I live very close to work so it's only a few minutes away.
  11. Congrats Debbie, and keep us posted!! Keep up the good work. I go Friday....yup, it's almost here!
  12. Julie, I will be looking for you! I will wish you the best of luck when I see and meet you on Friday morning!
  13. Congrats! Hang in there and do as the doc says. I go in on Friday morning!!
  14. I was required to see a Nutrition & Metabolism specialist before I had surgery. This was required by my insurance, a 6 month program. I do know I have to follow up with him after surgery too. Maybe your insurance will cover your visits to this specialist. I know alot of insurance companies cover "health & weight loss" specialist, just not surgery. You should call your insurance carrier to see if these kinds of visits will be covered.
  15. I got it at my local grocery store.
  16. Julie, what time is your surgery? I'm due in at 6:00 am! I think surgery is scheduled for 7 or 7:30. I'm getting excited!! After the meeting I spent a lot of time talking to Linda, she is the lady who lost 175 lbs! She looks fabulous and will talk freely about her journey. Wishing you best of luck and I do hope we meet!
  17. I'm to be banded on Friday the 5th. I'm so excited!! Scared, nervous, but so excited. Best of luck to everyone!
  18. AMEN. Best wishes and best of luck to everyone.
  19. I go this afternoon for my pre-ops. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything is good!
  20. I go tomorrow for my pre-op testing. I think everything will be just fine. The hospital told me to expect to be there for 2 -3 hours!
  21. Oh yeah, you can see a difference! Congrats and keep up the good work!
  22. Carrot, I do understand your nerves and emotions going amuck. Mine are too!
  23. Really it is not an elastic holding your tummy. But if the band breaks (never heard of that happening) they just take it out. Replace it. That is the beauty of the band, it is reversible.
  24. Oct 5th for me. I'm right there with all of you. My emotions and everything else is just running all over the place. But yes, excitement is there too! Best of luck to us all!
