Surgery in 4 hours

My eyes popped open at 4:00 and I struggled to get back to sleep for my nerves. I finally fell asleep at 4:20 and re-awoke at 6:00 and figured this board is the only thing that can calm my nerves right now.

My surgery is at 10:30, my parents are on their way to my house, I had "the last supper" last night--a tremendous steak. I've got the broth, juice, Jello, gas-ex, MOM, you name it-I have it. I'm SO ready for this surgery, but I"m so very nervous right now, I'm afraid I'm going to make myself puke!

Thanks to all of you for your inspiration and kind words. I'll try and check in this afternoon or tomorrow.

Take care-

Ashley

Just getting around to posting, but I'm doing okay. Pretty significant soreness where the port is, and I'm experiencing the gas pains that everyone wanred me of. Walking definitely helps. I'm putting pain meds to good use, and have been eating broth, Jello, and popsicles.

Good luck to all of you!

Ashley
