  1. Thanks everyone.. I know I don't have to eat the cake.. Before I had surgery I hardly at the cake anyway.. I was too busy making sure everyone else is taken care of.. I got a good nights sleep and feel like a whole new person today.. I am going to get dressed and go to the grocery store and actually do my shopping today..
  2. Soo.. I had my first breakdown today. I have a lot of life stuff going on.. And comments that were said.. I was walking around the grocery store and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt so self conscious and like everyone was staring at me. I'm still struggling getting protein in.. And figuring out the puréed stage.. I literally pushed my cart down an aisle and came home.. I just wanted to wrap up in my comforter and stay there. My daughters birthday is Saturday and my boyfriends ever so candidly kept reminding me that I wasn't going to be able to eat any of her birthday cake.. It's and that. I just felt how am I going to be a good mother.. A normal mother from here on out.. It's been a pretty emotional day for me.. Not to bad I guess considering its the first one In a week post op.. Hope tomorrow is better!
  3. Once I get there I want to go on a cruise.. And wear a two piece
  4. Fingers crossed for you.. Hope you hear good news soon
  5. I wonder that too.. I am a week out today.. Already eating about 1/2cup at a time.. Getting hungry on a schedule.. Seriously if it don't sound like an alien coming out of my belly when I eat I would swear they just poked holes in me then sewed me back up..
  6. Congrats.. That's awesome!
  7. I was sleeved on the 27th.. Came home on Thursday.. Been showering and pottering around the house since then. My incisions have caused me some pain..I think that's just because I am over doing it. I try hard to get all my liquids in.. But don't always do it.. I fail miserably at getting my protein in.. I can get about 3/4 of a shake in for breakfast and the same for dinner. I cheated a little today at a family cookout and had a couple of noodles from the macaroni salad and the tip of a spoonful of cheesecake. I am suppose to start puréed food on Wednesday anyway.. The crazy thing is.. I felt soo much better after those few noodles than I do after my protein shakes. I think I'm ready to move on to the next step.. And I think my body is too.. I hope all my other sleevers are doing good too.. Lets rock these sleeves!
  8. Ooh la la.. Looking good.. Most women I know are suckers for a good set of arms.. And those my dear are a good set of arms.. Keep up the good work.. And hope your knee heals soon!
  9. I'm still on my liquids post op and I found my full point this evening.. Ugh.. I feels like a ton of bricks on your chest and like your new tummy is going to explode.. Kinda the way it used to feel for thanksgiving dinner.. Oh my never again.. Obviously I tried to get too much in too soon..
  10. I threw up on the second day.. It was from all the meds and old blood in my tummy. After throwing up a couple of times I felt a lot better.. I also made them stop giving me so much meds.. That helped a lot too. Hope things get better for you..
  11. I couldn't take it anymore.. I had surgery on Tuesday and had to have it ( twice) yesterday.. If I would have had it my way I would have done it Thursday night after being released from the hospital.. I feel bad for those that don't have a drive anymore..
  12. Drink plenty of water.. It fills you up.. It really does get better.. As I was waiting on my surgery(mine was later in the day) I told my mom and boyfriend I never thought I would see the day where all I wanted was a protein shake to eat.. You will get there and surgery will be here before you know it..
