  4. So everything is a go for next week.. I am so excited.. The only bummer thing is I am not allowed to have anything to eat or drink after midnight.. And I don't check into the hospital until noon... Ugh my worst fear..
  5. I get mine from BJs Bariatrics website
  6. This next week is going to be a killer.. I am hoping this week flies by..I am soo anxious
  7. I did that.. It made things easier..
  8. Don't feel bad.. Before I started my liquid diet I went grocery shopping and stocked the house for my boyfriend and kids. Every time I open the freezer or fridge I see their food. I reach right past it to get my drinks or protein shakes.. I am on day 6 of my liquid diet. I just fixed lunch for us all. The kids baked chicken and macaroni with cheese and steamed broccoli... And me a protein shake.. Honestly it was super easy! I know where I'm going and where I wanna go so I know I can't have those things right now.. I can sometime in the future just not right now... Keep your head up and use this time to start transitioning them over to healthier foods and methods of cooking.
  9. I am on day 6 of my pre op diet.. I can say it does get easier.. your body gets into a routine and doesn't think your starving it anymore.. keep your head up you can do this!
  10. I have it in quick dissolve pill form but its only the 1000mg formula. . They have 5000 and 10000.. but they are in regular capsules.. and I got mine at Walmart
  11. Its to make your hair stronger and help grow new so when you start to loose hair (hopefully not much) it won't be so bad
  12. I am taking 5g of fiber, 1000mg of chewable calcium citrate, 500mg B12, a multi vitamin, and biotin
  13. I bought the kind from costco.. they are pretty tasty too
  14. I take them.. and I think they work great.. as far as over eating I think you have the mindset that you need.. no need to add to the stress of waiting.. and I feel ya I wish we could fast forward I am so ready..
  15. I will be thinking about you Dee.. keep us posted on your progress..
  16. I won't find out until Monday.. after my appointment with the surgeon I have my anesthia appointment then I will be all set.. I am SOO freaking excited.
  17. Mine is the 27th just like yours.. I go Monday to have my last appointment with the surgeon and make sure everything was good with my EDG..
  18. I love all of these.. I would have to say that I have a long list.. I'm not going to name them all but here are a few.. Be able to run and chase my kids, show my son how to play football and my daighter gymnastics Show my kids a good healthy way of living Cross my legs the way a girl is supposed to Wear skirts Like clothes shopping because I am no longer confined to the "Big Girl" section of stores Have kinky sex with my boyfriend Wear a bathing suit and not feel like everyone is staring at me To be considered a hot girl, not a girl that her personality is what makes her hot Feel comfortable in my own skin All kinds of Water sports (paddle boarding, water skiing, jet ski, banana boat rides) Zip line the canyons in Las Vegas Take more pictures with my family And most importantly.. I want to LOVE all of me!
  19. I have been taking chewable Fiber.. it helps keep things regular and I didn't want the chance of it happening.. been there done that after surgery before and its no fun (hysterectomy in 2011). I am on day 5 of my pre-op diet.. I am allowed 1000-1200 calories a day, I have to have 80-100 grams of protien. And I have to get it all from a variety of broths, Water (crystal light etc. is allowed,) SF Jello, SF popcicles, different Soups (pretty much anything that is cream based.. except I am allowed chicken noodle with the mini noodles.) I love this diet.. I have lost close to 7 pounds already.. and everyday that goes by is a day closer to my surgery... SOOO excited. As for the walking I have been walking about 1.5 miles a day since I started the diet.. I figured it would be better to start now rather than wait..
  20. Welcome.. I am still pre-op.. so for the complications and regret I can't answer those fully. I can speak to the regret piece a little.. this was the hardest but yet best descion I have made for myself ever. I don't regret any of it.. I have jumped through hoop after hoop to get where I am at today. But I never gave up and became ok with the status quo.. I too am doing this for my children.. I don't think that it's fair of me to continue to live the way that I was. This process has opened a lot of doors for me as well as shut a few.. ones that I never thought that I had the strength to. There is LOTS of information on this site and the people are super friendly.. hope all goes well for you!
  21. I am pretty sure that the only reason I got my approval as fast as I did was because I would call them everyday.. Don't give up.. hope you hear something soon!
  22. Best of luck to you.. hope you have a smooth surgery and speedy recovery!
