I've been working on this since Feb.7th. In at St. David's at 7:30 am and in surgery at 9:30! I am so excited to restart a new and healthier life!

27th-tomorrow! Let the countdown begin!

I've been so excited about my surgery and been so good in my pre-op diet. I am going to sleeved on Tuesday. I didn't eat anything except a protein shake this morning and I made the mistake of going grocery shopping. While I was at the deli buying sliced meat for my husband's lunch next week, I folded and bought a small cup if chicken nuggets! I can't believe I did it!!!! Am I screwed for surgery or can I make it up by doing only clear liquids for the next 2 days?

I'm going in on Tuesday, 27th!!! I am so ready. I'm having my surgery at St. David's Hospital in Austin. I love my surgeon, Dr. Nancy Marquez. She has truly been wonderful and I am not worried about anything. I thought the day would never get here but I'm only 3 days away to my new and improved me!

If you use sugar free almond milk, you can add Splenda for sweetness.

I'm on day 7 of my pre-op diet. I love the Lean shakes from GNC. Right now they are having a buy one and get one free deal. I bought 2 cases each of chocolate and vanilla bean. It comes out to about $1.50 each. I bought some coffee extract from Walmart (McCormick brand) and mix it the vanilla and it tastes like a Starbucks coffee drink. I know it's hard. I've had to stop sugar, carbs, caffeine, smoking and it was especially tough. However, today I woke up with energy and I was feeling great! Hang in there. The rewards will be tremendous!

My surgery is on the 27th at St.David's in Austin. I can't wait. My surgeon is Dr. Nancy Marquez and I have had the most wonderful experience with her and all my other doctors during my pre-op process.

I want to be able to get down on the floor and play with my little grandson! He is the light of my life and I need to be around as long as I can for him!

I started my pre-op diet last Tuesday. I have to have no more than 30 grams of carbs and at least 90 grams of protein per day. I have been faithful to the plan and have written down every bite I have put in my mouth. I have not been good about my water, I'll confess. When I weighed this morning after 5 days, I've only lost 2 lbs. is this okay? I'm scared to death the doc won't be able to do the surgery because of fatty liver!

My surgery is in two weeks. I'm so excited and am getting everything ready. I called my doc last month about changing my time-release meds I take every day. Of course, no response from my GP! I take Wellbutrin and Toprol and I don't know if I can take them after the surgery. They aren't that big-about the size of a regular Advil tablet. Can anyone advise me?
