  1. I guess that's answer, guess I don't need get surgery now.
  2. You can't take back what you've already done, so the only way to go is forward, recommit to making right choices and if you have junk in the house you should not eat, get rid of it. You can do this!
  3. I think it a cultural thing, when I went to Australia a Korean person wanted to take a picture with me because I was so fat, I can't wait to have my surgery.
  4. Has anybody taken Stelara for psoriasis and did you have to stop before surgery?

  6. For me deciding to get the sleeve is a choice I've made to get healthy and changing my eating habits. That does not mean I have to be perfect or that I'm never going to have cookie, it means that most of the time I'm going to eat smart and on occasion have a treat. Yes in the beginning it's going to be hard giving up the things I love and keeping track, but I think after a while it will become second nature.
  7. I'm not as young as you, I know what you mean I'm right there with my 1st appt with doc I weighed 565 I'm down to 534 but been to loose more before they will do surgery.

  9. do you just boil a chicken or roast, the strain the fat? if you can't tell I don't do a lot of cooking
  10. At a seminar that I went to the doctor said the main issue is that you and baby get enough nutrients and not get malnourished, good luck.

  12. I have a while to go and I don't have a date yet, but I was reading the info for the pre-op liquid diet and it says I can have fat free broth. does anyone have recipes or brands that are good?
  13. I like was EAS advantage dark chocolate and Atkins chocolate shake.
  14. I have not had surgery yet, but I have read anything I could find talked to my doctor, and I'm going with the sleeve. I don't want to deal with the maintenance of the band, or possibility of it slipping; or malabsorsion of the bypass.
  15. I haven't see anyone on here from Springfield mo were I'm at, not a lot of Missouri people here. I started at st Alexis w/ Dr Richardson but decided to go with a doctor here in Springfield.
  16. I'm glad that you are feeling better, from what my mother says shingles can be worse that surgery, she got them right after she had her brain surgery I felt so bad for her.
  17. It doesn't look like you have anything to worry about because it looks like we scared her off.

When I started, I did not want to wait either but, in the last few months I'm not minding it, I it's giving me the time I think I need to adjust to all the changes that is in store, going from eating anything I wanted too, to eating just what I need. I was also nervous to I would let my fears of the surgery take over and I would chicken out.

  20. i know that it's the best for me, because I'm tired of being tired all the time, my quality of life is worth any of the risks involved. Plus with a BMI in the 80's not doing it is a greater risk.
