Are you accurately tracking all that you eat in a calorie counting program like My Fitness Pal to make sure you are in the calorie range, Protein and carb range your doc/nutritionist told you to shoot for?
Also, it's perfectly normal to have a stall or up a few pounds week, here and there. The next week, you may see a huge loss.
I don't think you are doing anything wrong other than not being patient...ha! You are doing just fine

I'm 13-days post op. I lost 19-pounds during the 2-week prep liquid diet. In the first 10-days I dropped 16-pounds putting me below 300 for the first time in a year. Then, after I shared my news, I was back up to 301. I weighed today and I'm at 300.
I don't eat the fruit or the shake, but I do drink Isopure No Carb 40 every day.
I'm a little bummed to, but I keep hearing about the 3-week stall.
All I know for sure is that everyone on the sleeve loses weight if they stay away from the junk that got us here in the first place. We can't fail. It's physically impossible.
Our bodies do have to get used to the "new normal," so try to hang in there and trust the doctor and all those who have successfully gone before us.
Sounds like you've lost and kept off over 30-pounds! Congratulations!
Let's support each other in what we have lost and how great that feels!

Don't worry about the liquid intake so much -- everything is normal. I was able to drink more each day after surgery and had the same doubts. When you get to eating more solid foods you will definitely feel the restriction of your sleeve. Just keep getting in your Protein and Water and you'll do just fine.

I was thinking the issue was maybe more lack of Protein, I actually cheated and had me a poched egg white for Breakfast yesterday and today and I can tell the difference today. I do feel a little better far as the cramping. Tryinf to make sure that I'm getting in my fluids with the Isopure no sugar no carb drink to kinda help me out. I know it's still not much but it's something.
I called my NUT and she told me
    - Fluids
    - Protein
    - Vitamins
To make sure to try and get them in that way because I get sick off the protien shakes and the chicken noodle flavor protein. OMG my stomach can't take it. I start the pureed phase tomorrow and I CAN NOT WAIT.....

I'm only 2 weeks out so don't have any words of wisdom from experience, but maybe pull out some old pictures of yourself before you've done the amazing job you have thus far. Remind yourself why you did this in the first place and return your focus to your goal. You are so close!! Keep up the good work!

Daddysgirl10 reacted to devichan in 10 days post-op--shouldn't I be dropping pounds everyday?
There's no "should" or "shouldn't," first of all. Sometimes the adjustment period where your body is trying to get used to being different happens earlier. And it sounds like you are still dropping, just not as fast as you expected. Expectations are your worst enemy!
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Keep moving. It WILL happen.

I am six weeks out and starting to eat soft foods as tolerated.
I took four boneless Pork chops placed into baking dish lightly seasoned
Covered with foil and baked for 45 minutes at 350
Took out of oven, removed foil and poured off all fluids in bottom of dish
Add one can of mushroom Soup mixed with 1 soup can full of skim milk
Recover baking dish with foil and bake for another 25 minutes.
You will have the most tender, eat with a SPOON delicious pork chops ever

I can't believe it's been three years. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine how my life would change. It's been a wild, wild ride and I wouldn't have missed it for the world! I still don't really see me as others do, and I'm not sure I ever will. I'm still a work in progress. Good luck to all of you starting on YOUR journey, it's fun. Get a disposable camera and have someone take a picture of you the day before or the day of surgery....then have them take a picture of you every month on your surgery 'date'. After your 'one year' surgiversary, go get the camera developed. Having the pictures laid out side by side....seeing your transformation like that.....it is amazing! You'll be glad you did it, it's fun! Have a great day!

Daddysgirl10 reacted to Vixynne in This ketosis breath is going to kill someone!
Here's some info I found online, LipstickLady. The first section is about ketosis breath (or "keto-breath"), and the second part points out that an abundance of Protein causes ammonia-scented breath. Not much we can do about Protein, since we HAVE to have 60-80g a day, but thought it was interesting!
The good news is that keto-breath usually doesn't last forever. Most people find it dies down after a few weeks, or at the most a few months. The reason is unclear, but it seems our bodies adapt in some way. Children on a ketogenic diet for epilepsy have been shown to have less acetone in their breath as time goes on, for example. In the meantime, there are things you can do to minimize the impact of "keto-breath":
Drink more water: try 8 glasses per day to see if this helps, and then you can experiment from that point.
Natural breath fresheners to try include mint, parsley or other greens, cloves, cinnamon, and fennel seeds.
Some people swear by breath capsules, which are usually made from parsley oil (e.g. Mint Assure) for keto-breath. Others find they do not help.
sugar-free mints or gum can be tried, but watch the carbs in them.

When the body metabolizes protein, ammonia is produced. When people eat high-protein meals, there tends to be increased ammonia in their breath and/or urine. In large amounts, this can smell pretty bad.

It's important to remember that we don't need lots and lots of protein in our diets. Our bodies use protein to maintain and build muscles, to make enzymes, and for other structural and chemical needs. The body will convert excess protein to energy, which is where you will get the extra ammonia (this also happens during starvation or long exercise when the body begins to rely on breaking down muscles for energy if it runs out of sources of fats and/or carbohydrates).Sometimes people load up on protein because they are afraid to eat more fat. This is one of the reasons why it is rarely a good idea to try to eat a diet that is low in both carbohydrates and fats. The solution to "ammonia breath" for people on a low-carb diet is often to increase fats in the diet, and cut back some on protein foods.  http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/lowcarbliving/a/Is-Your-Low-Carb-Diet-Giving-You-Bad-Breath.htm
