I'm a slow loser, too, but from what I am reading, the slow losers are losing mostly real fat, not fat and muscle. Next time you are at your nut's have them check your lean mass. Yay for slow losers!
Congrats to you on your accomplishment!

I couldn't get my wedding ring off for surgery. I'm looking forward to being able to clean it.

Patty, great job! You should be so proud of yourself. Good luck to you.

Ms. K, careful with the sonic slushees. I love them but found out the calories range up to 600 calories for a Rt 44! The slush mix has sugar, even if you cut your strawberries in half. http://m.sonicdrivein.com/Content/downloads/SonicNutritionGuide.xls

Hi guys!! I was sleeved on June 26th and am 7 1/2 weeks post op. I have all the same complaints, the pain in the chest, the feeling water gives that it doesn't want to go down (which I feel like I can tolerate a lot more now as long as its cold) and the full feeling. So I'd like to share with you a few things that get me through (although I haven't been able to get in the required 64 oz fluids and 60 g. protein every day) I like to drink the frozen strawberry slushees from sonic, I ask them to only put half the flavoring (witch has real strawberries in it) . I then bought a large bag of ice chips from them for 1.99. I now fill a large glass with the chips and I add water and chrystal light to flavor. I enjoy drinking it and eating the ice at the same time a couple times a day. Greek yogurt, I eat that for breakfast and sometimes for a snack at the end of the day. I also eat string cheese as a snack. If I am eating regular food, which I do do maybe once a day, I HAVE TO EAT SLOW!!!!!!!!!! When I don't, I get that same horrible feeling in my chest, and it sucks cause eating slow is not one of my stronger points! I mean, we cant eat much at all, so I eat what I feel my sleeve can hold, and about 65% of the time I get that feeling. It lasts for maybe 30minutes to an hour and I don't throw up or feel the need to, I just feel full up to my neck. I enjoy chicken and fish because I know I'm getting protein in, btw I haven't drank a protein shake in probably a month...I know, what can I say...anything that wasn't cold wasn't happening. I was able to drink 1/2 of the shake then it got room temp, and my sleeve didn't like room temp! Its a lot better now though. I feel almost normal and the only time I don't feel normal is when I'm eating around people. Hope I could help a bit, and good luck!!

I like the Premier Protein shakes from Costco, too, so convenient since it's premade. For powder, Syntha 6 is my favorite so far. I can't believe the difference in brands. Some are just so nasty. I ordered a bunch of samples like others suggested. It's a great idea to get that figured out, because I'm not dreading the liquid phase now.

Walking is the best, I agree. I downloaded a great Android App called Accuped that makes your phone into a pedometer. It rocks! I find myself checking it all the time lol. I think it eats batteries, though.

NeverBe, your tale has me hooked. And you are so beautiful! You don't need a bad influence like that. Can't wait to hear what happens next. I'm guessing these monologues take a lot out of you to write, but I hope it gives you some peace to get it out.

Poor baby! That sounds exactly like an allergic reaction.Benadryl is the way to go. Do you think you might have a latex allergy?

It's good to be going through all this angst now and get it out of your system.. My favorites that will go away are beer and champagne - no carbonated drinks, not to mention the alcohol. But the feeling of being finally at your proper weight will be so great, you won't mind the changes in your diet. I hate running, too. I walk.

just out of curiosity, did you ever stall? I didn't. I wonder if fast losers stall more frequently than slow losers....
