HEY there!   i am 3 weeks and 4 days out from surgery... and on a stall! i know to be positive and everything, but i just want to be like SERIOUSLY!!!!! i can see it in the tummy that its going down, i know the inches are because i put 3 pairs of jeans in the cant wear bag that needs to goto the donate pile...   i joined a slowpitch softball team that plays on sundays and this last sunday was the first game... wow its been 12 years since HS and i sure can tell... i needed a roll cart with air for sure!!!! i have been going to the gym.... DAMN   i was so excited to start tho... i get up to bat and totally nerves set in like **** what did i get myself into... i am going to kill myself, but licky me i have insurance lol... well its slow pitch so the ball is no faster than a third grader playing... YEAHHHH!!!! i slam the ball out in the left feild (or i think that is what it was i have forgotten how sad) i was like HELL YEAH the guy dropped it! haha sucker, so i hall off to 1st... as i am running, i start having the running farts like i seriously was farting going to first!!!!!! PRAYING no one heard me lol... pants are able to fall down i was just so excited to get to first! i made it!!!! but then got out at 2nd the next batter...   hahah hope you have had a good laugh now!!!!   but i am stalling scale has not moved in a week but that is okay... i keep plugging away and going to the gym... i wanted to cheat and not go yesterday but made myself go and was so glad i did!

Left overs = happy dogs

3 weeks out and doc gave me the green light on mushy to normal food... Not to overdo anything. Obviously lol   I have been doing small meals through the day.... 2 bites and in the fridge it goes. Soup, mashed potatoes, chicken salad, chips and salsa (3 chips)   I have not got myself to do fruit yet because I can't do the banana or apple that cost 89 cents a lb and take one bite and have to toss it.   Dogs are loving this tho. All the extra gets to them because I have so much left over

3 days post surgery update

Hey there everyone! I'm home, well at my moms home. I left the hospital yesterday (Sunday). I'm a little sore just sore like I did a crap load of sit ups. I do have some brusing but not too bad. Photos attached.   I got lots of support and visitors while I was in the hospital too. Lost of great family and friends. Beautiful flowers too! I was the only one on our floor walking, and I actually was the one who asked the nurse can I get up I'm sick of laying here.... They were all impressed! I had a huge gas bubble that was painful for the first 23 hours until I got something for it to help pass. When I finally got to "fart" I blew thru my pj pants and bed... So embarrassed! Took a hot shower there too felt like heaven! I was up and down heat wise... I just wasn't 100% good there. But I made the very best of it.   On the way out I had 5 vases of flowers and mom ran to get the car... Some orderly of e hospital was by the door and was like ahhh you finally get to go home.... Where is the baby? I was like well I didn't have a baby but I hope that is the last time I get that sad misunderstanding again. Thanks! Butt face!   I wore cute pjs and gave my nurse goodies and they all loved it... Was sad to leave I made a few friends but hate to say its been fun but peace out lol.   I'm home now, eating broth and shakes... I have a Popsicle here and there and water or tea... Went for a walk and cleaned my moms kitchen floor... I'm pooped now and will be laying down for a cat nap.   Love ellie

I need ice, and a cute cup I holler at my mom! She asks why.... Clearly know why chuckling under her breath... I say back to her because if I was at my house I would be drinking this grape flavored **** out of a martini glass just for the fun of it! It's gonna be a long night and I want to do it in style     So surgery is tmw! Going to be there at 6 am to drop my mom off then I have three hours to kill while I wait for my check in time... I will be sure to post more in the morning   Have a good night y'all and add/like my page... It gives me fun to read about all the great stories   Ellie j

Wish me luck... baking a cake for the surgery team...

SO TONIGHT IS MY LAST NIGHT I WILL BE AT MY HOUSE FOR A FEW DAYS... I AM GOING TO MY MOM'S WHICH IS CLOSER TO THE HOSPITAL FOR RECOVERY....   MY MOM WORKS IN THE SURGERY DEPARTMENT AT THIS HOSPITAL SO EVERYONE THERE KNOWS ME AND THAT I BAKE... I DO ALL THE FUN DECORATING AND WEIRD THINGS... I HAVE MAKE THE CUPCAKES THAT LOOK LIKE MINI GRILLS TO A TOWER OF MINI CAKES JUST ALL FOR FUN... WELL THEY ARE EXPECTING SOMETHING YUMMY SO I AM GOING TO MAKE A ORANGE POPCYCLE CAKE... AND ABOUT 5 DOZEN COOKIES.....   SO I WILL BE EXTRA HUNGRY TONIGHT FOR SURE! SO I JUST WANT TO SAY IF I PASS OUT OF WANTING TO LICK MY FINGERS BUT I CANT!!!!   THE DOGS WILL ENJOY IT THO!   I ALSO WANT TO ADD, IF YOU ARE READING PLEASE ADD ME AS A FRIEND I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP UP WITH PEOPLE AND THEIR PROGRESS AND GOOD WORDS TOO !   THANKS LOVE ELLIE

3 days to go, tired, happy, excited, fear?

hey there everyone, hope all is well!   i am on T minus 3 days till i will be having surgery! i am ready! i just want to be 3 months from now working out at the gym stage but i know i have a road to jump on and start walking on first....   i am on the liquid stage, and feel like i could eat a cow! i am not hungry till i am hungry, i have a shake and do just fine... i just would like to eat something and chew it up and taste the taste or meat with ketchup! this "sweet-no taste" shake stuff isnt a burger by anymeans!!!!!!!!!! last night i had a soup that i bought thinking it would be good... out of the 10 i got 1 was bad, aweful, and just down right NASTY! i powered thru because i am broke till payday (thursday). with buying all the vitamins and protein shakes and etc i needed it was a little costly just bam out the door...   i am super suckered just from not having anything in me to "fuel" me... i went to bed at 8 and got up at 3 with tummy pains and rolled on the floor for about a half hour... i think it was mostly because i hadnt poo'd in a few days... well finially went and it was like rabbit turds sorry tmi.   as i sit here at my desk i just want to lay me head down and nap for like 2 solid hours.   hope everyone is doing well on their diets and journeys....   please add me as a friend i would love to keep up with people who are also keeping up with me!   love ellie

Liquid Diet starts TODAY!

Well its FRIDAY and i am starting my Liquid Pre-OP diet today. i have to goto the store tonight to get stuff because i was just not feeling being in the store yesterday... it was rainy and gross outside.   i am ready for this new life tho i can tell you! for starters i work in a container yard with all guys and i get dirty alot... so i go thru jeans like water... well i have about 4 pair right now that are on let me tell you their LAST LEG!!!!!! one pair i am so afraid to wear because they are worn so bad that right where the leg rubbs its dang near see thru! so i have refused to buy new anything because starting today i hope to be NOT BUYING size 24-26 ANYTHING!!!!!! i am lucky to the fact i have a huge box of stuff that someone gave me of 20, 18, 16, 14 jeans and they are super cute... let me tell you this weekend i am going to redo my closet so that i have the stuff ready for me when i can close that buttom and it NOT HURT     more to come   Ellie

EGD done today, surgery scheduled 7/27/13

Hey reader,   I'm 29, so YouTube and google I have grown up with and know when I want info about ANYTHING I just go there and within 30 mins of multiple searches and video watching I feel like I'm well knowledged in whatever I'm looking for...with that I start my journey...   I live in dallas, however my surgery will take place in Huntsville (about 2 1/2 hours south) because my mom works there in the surgery dept. I took the afternoon off and headed to town to meet the doc at 4, but he was in back to back surgerys so I was unable to have our "appointment in the office". So I went for my group meeting with the hospital. To say the least that was short and interesting... I have done so much research I swore I answered everything in my head before the doc or assistant could. The lady by us was a southern lady who didn't much care about anything except if she could eat her greens!   I have been having lots of heartburn and reflex so the dr wanted to do a scope to look at my stomach, very agreeing I said yes and he scheduled it for 8 am. Took all of 10 minutes but I had to be put under, which I had no idea... No pain involved except a scratchy throat after words.   They found a large growth and took a sample to ensure its not cancer, but he told me he wants me back in two weeks for my sleeve, because he wants to remove this (photo attached)   Very excited to have this done.... To start the life I want to live but can't due to being over weight.... 1. Going shopping in cute hip normal sizes 2. Doing normal day to day things without being overdone 5 seconds into it 3. Boys who may want to actually want to date me 4. No back pain 5. Sit comply in a chair, or airplane 6. Not fear of being looked at for being fat 7. Being healthy     Any suggestions for my one week liquid diet, and after suggestions please comment...   Ellie j
