  1. Adargie, how did you appointment go? I have my last NUT appointment today.......I don't think I gained, but I don't think I lost either, so I'm a little nervous.
  2. Just be truthful, otherwise you'll only be hurting yourself in the long run. Mine was looking for addiction issues and depression..........also looking to see how aware I was of the surgery/outcome, the good, bad and the ugly, it is not a magic wand, how tough the first few days can be, etc. Be yourself, and you'll do fine (I really stressed over this appointment as well, and I didn't need to)
  3. What about your colon ? Diverticulosis generally doesn't have symptoms, but people can experience pain on the lower abdomen or other symptoms. Diverticulitis causes pain on your left abdomen.....as does irritable bowel syndrome.....but I'm no doctor......if this is chronic, you should contact your physician......good luck!
  4. My NUT was very clear....."do not buy the protein shots", so I will go with her recommendation
  5. My waiting will begin Tuesday, I hope.....last appointment is tomorrow with the NUT.....and hopefully the surgeon will submit for insurance approval on Tuesday......and I'm nervous as heck LOL
  6. Good luck.....luckily coffee isn't an isse 4 me....but I've given up soda.....might as well since it is a no no after wls

  8. As I'm getting closer to insurance submittal, I am anxious to talk to 2 people that I trust.....right now only my hubby & a sibling know......still not sure I will share it with anyone else.....

  14. You'll do fine.......FYI the results from the colonoscopy put me at a higher risk for colon cancer.....now have to be tested every 5 years...My aunt died from colon cancer recently......I'll take the discomfort for 2 days if it'll save me from what she went through....I just don't have to like it LOL Good luck!
  15. Awww......I hope when you break through that stall, that it's BIG.....Good luck....don't get discouraged!
  16. My husband takes the worst pictures........But yeah, I plan on having pictures taken, even if it takes him an hour or two until he gets it right LOL Since I'm not telling people about the procedure, I'm leary to ask anyone
  17. Hope it all went well, I'm sure you'll do fine! Had my upper & lower GI done last week.....other than the prep for colonoscopy, everything was easy peasy....lucky you not having to have a colonoscopy!!!!!
  18. Thank you for letting us know everything went well...glad you're not in pain!
  19. Welcome! Congratulations on tomorrows surgery.....here's hoping it's uneventful and recovery is a breeze. Best wishes! --p
  20. Congrats and Good luck, Kim! I hope I get that call in a few weeks myself!
  21. Wow, that's odd......I went to an informational seminar. Even though I knew WLS was a covered benefit, the surgeon's office had to verify it with my insurance for themselves and verify the required steps to get approved. I wish I had helpful info for you.....good luck with this!
  22. Oh congrats! That's wonderful!
  23. Welcome to VST......and best wishes on your surgery/recovery!
