Ok, so I just thought of this, and I may be way off base. But for the last three days I have been on liquid diet, to shrink my liver. So- I have an achy pain in my left abdomen. At first I thought kidney, but now I wonder if it's the liver shrinking. Am I way off base here?

I think the liver is on the right side.

DOH! I knew that! I will blame it on having no solid food since Thursday. 8)

Could be hunger pains. You don't have a history of ulcers do you?

What about your colon ? Diverticulosis generally doesn't have symptoms, but people can experience pain on the lower abdomen or other symptoms. Diverticulitis causes pain on your left abdomen.....as does irritable bowel syndrome.....but I'm no doctor......if this is chronic, you should contact your physician......good luck!
