  1. Wow. Congrats. Excellent progress.
  2. I went to Vitamin shop to try some different protein drinks and purchased this one. It was so disgusting. Beware.
  3. Thanks so much. You will get there soon enough. I can't wait to fit my skinny jeans! When those are loose ill know I did something BIG!
  4. I just made me a delicious veggie purée last night that I'm really enjoying. I bought 2 zucchini, 2 squash, fresh green beans, 2 tomatoes, an onion and some garlic. I sautéed them in a small amount of olive oil, chicken broth and seasoned with cayenne pepper. When they were nice and soft I put in the blender and puréed. It has consistency of apple sauce but lots of flavor. It may not be for everyone but play around in the kitchen.
  5. Woohoo! Congratulations. I'm so very happy for you. And thanks for the idea. I'm playing around in the kitchen too. I need ideas for on the go.

  7. Thank you all! I'm so pumped and ready for a new me! I can't wait for a new me! And I weighed myself this morning and I'm down a pound!!! So the stall may be letting up.
  8. Thank you so much! I'm beyond thrilled. I've been working hard this week doing power walking. If I could only lose another 5 pounds I'd be so happy.
  9. So I've been obsessing about the scales lately because I've hit the dreaded stall. But I noticed my clothes fitting a lot bigger lately. So I decided to try on a few pairs of jeans and pants in my closet. And they ALL zipped up!!!! Every single last one of them. Even the ones I thought wouldn't get past my thighs. I'm so beyond thrilled. Pretty soon they won't fit because they are too big!
  10. Whew what a beautifully honest post. You will do awesome on this next journey of your life. You are mentally prepared and self aware. And it sounds like you have an amazing partner and husband who lives you very much. Not all of us are so blessed. Keep in mind the first two days postop are the worst you will see and you will feel so much better afterwards. Everyone heals differently but I'm 18 days out and I haven't felt this good in a long while. I have more energy and I feel lighter not just physically but emotionally. I barely have any scars from incisions and my body is reshaping itself. You will get there one step at a time. Just be kind to yourself, patient and follow doctors orders. :-) so very happy for you. Keep up the good work.
  11. You are very welcome. That's what we're here for.to help each other.
  12. Yes I am only 18 days post op but feeling great. I can't officially workout yet but I can walk as much as I want so I'm doing it. I need to get these pounds off.
  13. Thanks all. :-) I'm so excited to be back in the swing of things.
  14. Well I'm doing pretty good post op. I went walking in a nature preserve during the day. Then went to the gym and did some power walking for 25 minutes. I feel good and I'm determined to get these pounds off.
  15. Yes very similar but this place has the entrees a la cart they aren't combined meals. You can make your own meal. :-)
  16. Hello all of my fellow DFW Sleevers! I found a fabulous place to get healthy prepared meals that are right sized portions and nutritionally dense. It's in Plano off Park and Midway. Right next door to Pei Wei. It's called Pick A Fit foods. I thought I'd share with all who struggle in meal preparation and eating out. I loved the creamy vegetable soup which is perfect for stage 2 of our diet.
  17. Starting weight 208 current weight 190. I'm short and curvy so my weight distributes pretty well but I'm still very big for my height. It's just not as evident to others. I can't wait to get down to 135. I'm only 5'3".
  18. Woohoo! Congrats girl. That's awesome. I'm so ready to not fit my clothes anymore. My NSV this week was having sex with my husband. He hadn't touched me in months and he hasn't initiated sex in almost 2 years. So him being turned on by me made me literally cry. I know it sounds pathetic but I was happy to be wanted again. :-)
  19. Thx so much for the compliment. Hopefully a lot hotter soon.
  20. I love this post. Thank you for your honesty and convictions. While we don't live in an idealistic, kind world it takes very strong courageous people to stand up to society and shut them up! I was wishy washy at first about telling people. #1 because I was so ashamed I had gotten to the point of needing it. #2 out of fear of what people would say/think about me. The night before surgery I "came out" on Facebook. I felt an outpouring of positive feedback. If there were negative comments, nobody posted them. I've had to face too many adversities in life to back down now. There are so many stigmas and stereotypes associated with obesity and WLS but if we boldly press on we can break the stereotypes. We can help others form new opinions and an awareness of the vicious disease that is obesity. I've had to face stigmas associated with bipolar disorder being diagnosed in 2007 and now obesity and WLS. I'm here to kick my fat @$$ into shape and take names. I'm so thankful for my sleeve. It's the best friend I've made in a long time.
