Old Habits Die Hard...
Hello! And Amen. That's exactly my point! If you want to sabotage yourself...fine! But don't come on a "support" forum telling others what they can get away with bc you decided to do what you wanted. After all we are all food addicts of some sorts and this is a disease. Most of the battle is mental. I equate this to a drug/alcohol addiction support group. If one of the substance abuse patients said openly in a group I used and I'm fine so you should too they would be kicked straight out! So cheating stages or instructions shouldn't be encouraged here either. And that doesn't make me holier than thou. That makes me self aware of my challenges and addiction. It means I'm committed to my recovery and lifelong battle with this horrible disease.

I rest my case! Lmbo.- Old Habits Die Hard...
Its really ridiculous. I'm not saying I know all nor encouraging everyone to follow my surgeon's/nutritionist's instructions for ME. I'm saying follow their surgeon's/nutritionist's instructions for THEM. And don't be hateful to people when their merely trying to remind you of the instructions set for YOU and help you achieve YOUR goals. Again I'm not perfect that's why I seek the guidance of professionals and not other food addicts.- Old Habits Die Hard...
For the record I'm not bothered merely by someone else's viewpoint. I'm not completely obtuse to new ideas. What bothers me is people who boldly and flagrantly go against sound advice (which is their choice) and encourage others to follow suit. And even go as far as name calling, insults or pot shots at those Who follow the rules. Calling us over the top or negative or silly. Then make smart Alec remarks about how they're going to do what they want. If that's the case why bother having the surgery? Or joining a "support" forum. That's not supportive at all.- Old Habits Die Hard...

Amen sister! Why risk it? Just cause u can doesnt mean u should- Old Habits Die Hard...
I don't care what people say to me on here. If they can't show enough class to excuse themselves from the conversation like I do all too often, then I guess that's a testament to their character. I don't mind being a "loser" and nerd who follows all the rules. And on the off chance I fail and break a rule I certainly won't be posting on a forum looking for cheerleaders to justify my behavior. I will humbly admit the error of my ways and move forward.- Old Habits Die Hard...
Hey I totally get that. We've all had our moments. I just hate it when people start with the whole, "do what you want these doctors don't know everything" "you know your body better than they do" "it won't kill you to drink carbonation or from a straw" "I deserve this because of everything I've been doing for myself" those are all justifications for bad behavior. I don't make it a practice of scolding anyone. I just opt not to comment at all when I read these posts. But it just irritates me bc it's counterproductive and I feel it teaches people how to work around the system.- Old Habits Die Hard...
Ok so I'm not the crazy one. Lmbo. :-)- Old Habits Die Hard...
Ok just a vent. I'm really bothered by endless posts of people going against doctor's orders and/or cheating the stages. Then they look for "support" in their decision. When you try to offer actual support and discourage the bad behavior/choice all of a sudden you become the "negative" one. VSG is a tool but not the miracle cure. We need to work with our tool to make it work for us. Ignoring surgeons and nutritionists orders will only lead to some sort of failure along the road. If we knew what was best we wouldn't have needed the surgery to begin with. Why undergo such a major surgery if you're not willing to undergo the life changes associated with it?- Veggie Puree
To cerenatee. Yes to all your questions. After sauteeing I pour everything in a blender and purée.- Before and After Pictures 7 months post op
Congrats! You look amazing. So happy for you. I hope I can achieve my weight loss goal sooner than later.- Stalled at Week 3
I always weigh myself in the morning. I'm just trying so hard to up my calorie intake. I just moved to soft solids. It's taken me over an hour to finish 1 soft scrambled egg. Ugh.- First Meal Post Op
Well I'm a slow loser but I did my best to get in 4 premier protein shakes with 30grams of protein. I'd sip water, apple juice and/or grape juice. I've recently started walking daily for about 30-50 min a day.- Stalled at Week 3
I'm getting about 600 calories too. Nurse said to get it closer to 800-900.- Stalled at Week 3
My sweet Ernestine. I have been losing inches. I had my appt with Nurse yesterday and she told me to bump up calories. I'm going to fight my hardest to do so. Never in a million years did I ever think I would struggle in getting my calories in. Lmbo.- Stalled at Week 3
I'm freaking out a lil bit. I've been stalled for two weeks now. I've only lost 1 pound in that time. I've been walking daily and diligently taking in my protein. I'm hoping this isn't foreshadowing what the rest of my journey will be like. I've been working so hard. I can't handle this disappointment well. Please someone anyone tell me this will end soon.- Before and after! pics
You go girl! You look HOT! Get it!!!!- First Meal Post Op
Yes it's so crazy. Well they did give me extra mashed potatoes. But I didn't eat hardly a thing. I've lost 19 pounds so far. I'm hoping ill lose more this week. I've been walking a whole lot.- First Meal Post Op

Hahaha. So today I got cleared for soft foods! Woot woot. So bestie and I went to Red Lobster to get fish. I got tilapia and mashed potatoes. I was able to eat 3 tiny nibbles of each and I'm full! What a crazy feeling. I can't believe how amazing I feel to eat so little. :-) - Old Habits Die Hard...
