  3. Woohoo! Congratulations! What an inspiration. Don't sweat "coming out" you will be shocked by the positive feedback you will receive and if you receive any negative chalk it up to HATERADE!!! I hope to inspire someone some day to grab hold of their health and take better care of themselves.
  4. Ok so I have to admit I was really really discouraged at the slight stall I experienced this week. I didn't lose any weight all week!!! Grrr. In fact I gained 3.5 pounds when they pumped me full of IV fluids. But today I stepped on the scale and BAM down 3 pounds again. I guess all the walking and running around has paid off this week. I'm feeling so much better about myself and this surgery. So I decided I needed to go for a brisk walk. So I put on some new workout clothes I bought over a year ago and have never worn. And it fits!!! Plus my tummy has gone down quite a bit! While the scales aren't showing much progress. My body is. I just have to keep walking walking walking. Ill get there. So if any of you have been stalled or down this week stay strong you will get there. We are all in this together! Just take in all your fluids/protein and walk your worries away!!!
  5. You all are way too kind. Thx for the encouragement.
  6. Lmbo. Ok. Hmmm well thx for the offer.
  7. Aww thanks Laura! You are too sweet I don't care if you showed him. No problem. I'm hoping this is the first of many more. And I'm sorry for the crazy post. I just couldn't hold it in. Lmbo.
  8. Lmbo. Laura you crack me up! Even though he's kind of a ****** and our marriage is rocky at best I'm thankful for this small victory. It feels good to be desired again.
  9. Warning TMI alert! OMG! I'm not sure if its because of the weight loss but tonight for the first time in over 2 years my husband came onto me! He initiated sex all on his own and he had no trouble getting "prepared". I'm literally in tears over the shock and excitement. He never initiates sex nor does he show any desire to be with me. Maybe it was the weight loss or maybe the new dress but he NOTICED me and actually liked it. I can't believe it. I'm still in shock. We had hot sweaty sex before I almost had a heart attack. Lmbo. I didn't want to freak him out and start crying.
  10. Who knew. Somewhere underneath all this flub was a waist and curves. It's been so long since I've seen them I forgot they were there. While I haven't lost as much in pounds as I wanted. The inches are starting to show. I'm excited to see my body transforming. How about you?
  11. I'm feeling so much better and I'm able to drink so much more. I'm feeling so much better and I have more energy. It will get so much better.
  12. Just found out I don't have to return to work until 04/29/13!!! Woohoo. Doing a happy dance...I mean ow I'm still sore and recovering...errrr....ah screw it I'm jigging! Lmbo. Woohoo.
  13. Sess if u feel weak and unable to drink call your doctor. Also one thing my doc told me was check your tongue. If it looks white or pale you are most likely dehydrated. Your tongue should be pink. If so, go to the doc immediately and get IV fluids. Additionally DON'T drive yourself because its too dangerous. Have someone drive you.
  14. Thank you thank you thank you. I was able to finish 2 protein shakes yesterday a 16 oz bottled water, 12 oz of tea and 8 oz of grape juice. Plus I had some broth and jello. This is a huge first for me! I think the dehydration had me so weak I could barely do much more. I feel so much better this morning.
  15. I'm so overwhelmed right now. I had my 1st week postoperative visit and I ended up in the ER for dehydration/ exhaustion. So folks this is serious. Please whatever you do drink your required fluids. I had been having issues with discomfort and also fear of drinking too much at once. Which is what eventually led to my dehydration. So please take care of yourself. Also because of this my surgeon has me on clear liquids too. I cannot advance to the next phase. :-(
  16. Awesome feedback. I'm going to to bust outta this joint soon enough.
  17. I'm 5 days post op and bored outta my mind. I'm tired of being at home alone. I think I'm going to try and go to the mall or movies or something. How soon were you able to drive post op? I'm no longer on any pain meds. Just taking Tylenol.
  18. Wow. I feel like a glutton. Perhaps I was high on pain meds but i thought teh nutritionist told me 1oz every 10 minutes. I have been aiming for that and come damn ner close. I am not sure I better check with my surgeon. If that's wrong then no wonder I am feeling so full all the time/
  19. I'm feeling so much better today. The first two days post op were horrendous pain. I was very pleased with the wonderful treatment I received from the staff at the hospital. I never wanted for anything. After I was able to pass gas and go #2 I felt so much better. The ride home in my hubby's Tahoe was the worst. I say find the smoothest ride you can get. Other than that just poop and toot as much as possible so you can feel better quicker. Lmbo.
  20. Well that weight loss includes preop diet. Again im at a different scale then I usually weigh at. I'm just glad to see it go down some. I'm curious what my first post op appt says. Either way the pain is worth it
  21. I'm so pumped. First two days sucked majorly but I'm awake today and walking around, releasing my trapped gas. So on a whim I decided to weigh myself. I'm not sure how accurate it is bc it's not my scale from home but at any rate I'm down approximately 17 pounds!!!! Give or take a few bc it's a different scale. Either way I'll take it. And that's with all this air in me. I can only imagine what it's like in a few weeks once the air is gone. I'm beyond happy!!!! Woohoo!
