Day 3 Post Op...Ouch

So I got sleeved on Thursday afternoon. Thursday and Friday were the absolute pits. Excruciating gas pain and soreness in the abdomen. I wasn't able to walk much due to pain and lightheadedness. Today I'm feeling much better and I'm able to do my breathing exercises and walking. I can't believe I actually did. Here's to a new future.

Ditto - sleeved 4/4. Life is sucking at the moment, but I know it gets better!

I has surgery on 4/1... I'm sick of my stomach hurting, am missing food, and over my one ounce cups. I just feel really depressed for some reason. Anyone else?

Got sleeved on the 4/3, had a few really rough days, still feel weak and light headed, less pain though and glad to be home.

Gas pain was hell. Struggling to drink enough liquids, but seems to be getting a bit easier.

Had a lot of headaches the last few days which didn't help.

Will get through this!

I'm almost 2 weeks out...it does get better!! Hang in there!

I had me sleeve done on 4/3 and I must say that I'm begining to miss food and the gas pains are also killing me..cannot wait until I feel better and move on from this clear liquid stage. Trying to hang in there..

Well the pain is subsiding now that I can get some gas out. I'm off the strong pain meds bc I found it makes it easier to go to bathroom on Tylenol. I'm walking more and sitting up more. Still have gas pains and I'm struggling to keep the liquids in. No vomiting just hard to swallow and stay awake. I took a shower today and I feel much better. Each day gets easier and I'm praying by the end of the week illness able consume all my fluids.

Kelly my stomach is hurting too' date=' I can't consume my 4 ounce in that hour only like 3. I kinda feel depressed too.[/quote']

I got home yesterday and did great with the 4oz in the hospital before getting discharge. Now I am home and is hard to consume 4oz in that one hour. I do about 1oz then 3oz some hours is just so hard. I feel very weak and I started the pure protein shake that all I been tryin to consume the broth makes my stomach hurts and finally got some Popsicles and was able to eat one.

Hi Joan, Popsicles will be your lifesaver. I'm now going on my 7th day post op and still can only consume 1 oz an hour. Chicken broth and bouillon cubes have started to make me gag. I use slim fast as part of my protein because I haven't found one that I like, my support group at work told me about premier shakes, I think I will try those next. Hang in there it will get better.
