I have pretty good insurance. But I am still worried about this.
  2. Up your calorie intake. If you have been doing the same workout, change it up or make it harder. Drink lots of Water. Be patient. I just read a post where someone had been stalled and it turns out her body had been replacing her burned off fat cells with water. Her body finally released the water and she dropped 20 lbs in like a day. Anyways the top three things I said have helped me before. Good luck!
  3. That's exciting! I think I would have to sit down for a long while from the sheer shock of it, if I lost that much all at once. LOL! Congratulations!
  4. I was told that it might be bad and to make sure I have my meds handy just in case. But check with your doctor just in case.
  5. I would call your doc again in the morning. I would be afraid I tore sore something after so long of not getting better. If nothing else, you can find out what bug you have and get meds for it. Let us know how you are!
  6. Don't forget Gas X, a heating pad and Chap Stick!
  7. No those are all very good questions! Thank you!
  8. That's where I am getting mine done and that's my doc. I went to meet a lot of surgeons before I found Dr. Turnquest.
  9. Try drinking more water and do a different exercise routine for awhile. Also be sure your only measurements are not from the scale. You might be loosing inches even though you're not loosing the pounds right now.
  10. Oh! I forgot Gas X, Lip Balm and a heating pad!!
  11. I'm told you're not going to need much. If you're flying you may need more then others. I am going to wear something very loose like a dress to the hospital so that I can just wear it home again. I'll be in a hospital gown for my stay so that and undergarments are the only clothes I will have. I'm told not to wear a night gown there unless you don't mind possibly getting blood and such on it. Nope I'm going to want my gown to be clean when I get home. I am going to bring a small firm pillow to put on my stomach when moving and especially to put under the seat belt in the car. Not going to want the seat belt up against my incisions. I'm told I won't need my computer or MP3 player, but I am a writer and avid listener of music when I am laying in bed sooo, I am going to just in case. I will bring my toothbrush and hairbrush. My hospital provides toothpaste, shampoo, soap, lotion etc. My phone is a must with charger. I am not flying. When will you be flying back? Pack lite. Your not going to want to have to lift anything heavy.
  12. LOL, I would poop, take off my shoes and bra as well as wear the lightest clothes I owned when I would weigh in for Weight Watchers. I would have weighted in my bathing suit (Actual bathing suit, not naked, hehe!) if they would have let me.
  13. I have the opposite reaction to stress. I will completely miss my period for the month when under the amount of stress I know I will be having the month of my surgery. I am kind of counting on that. LOL! It will be fine. I'm sure the nurses see this all the time and they are all fully trained to wipe if needed. If they are good, it will be very quick. (I used to be a nurse aide.)
  14. It seems to take forever for me to heal but three months is a bit long. I agree, talk to your doctor. Better safe then sorry.
  15. Here here! Well said.
  16. Ugh, now I'm hungry! LOL
  17. My doctor does not want us to have shakes at all. LOL! I'm a vegetarian, I may need to drink the shakes secretly. Every doc is different.
  18. You need a passport. You didn't used to, but you do now.
  19. I projectile vomit, so no matter if my head is IN the freaking toilet or over the tub or wherever, it's going EVERYWHERE! So no, no to vomiting. Thanks for the advise of eating to soon, even so long AFTER your surgery!
  20. I'm not really telling a lot of people. I have a three friends who are all big as well, and they know because they are my support system. I'll tell my parents and brothers when I am done jumping through insurance hoops and have a surgery date. That's it, right now my plan is to say nutritionist, diet and exercise. But I have a big mouth so I am not sure how long that will work. Not even sure I am going to mention having surgery. Will be taking two weeks off. I have a very physical job so I might have to get a doc note to put me on lite duty for a little while. So he might find out there was a stomach surgery. Now there may be a case by case basis after my weight is lost. For people I see struggling as well, I will tell my big secret too.
  21. Banded? Not sure about the Band. But I think you know what to do. Try and try again. Can you spice up what you already have to suit your flavor need? Maybe a mix of two teas? Good luck!
