  1. jack and kimberly, thanks for the advice. Im gonna start by cooking tonight. we"ll see
  2. Hi All, I haven't been on here communicating with you all for the past 4 to 5 months. Most of this is due to the fact that I've been at a plateau for that long. It started when we moved out of our old home to my mother-in-laws, while our new house was being built. Because of this, we ate out EVERDAY. Well I've been in my new home for 2 and a half months and cant get off this bad road. I know that I'm doing everything wrong. I havent been eating right, not taking Vitamins, and not exercising like I used to. I need some help and motivation. Thanks.
  3. Jacole, don't worry I'm right there with you. I have been out of commission for the past 2 months almost and feel like crap. I know I should've lost more by now, but can't shake these 5 pounds. I know it's because I'm not doing right. The other bandsters are right, accountability I think will help. I'm gonna start Monday. Good luck to you.
  4. jdub-03/20-10/04-43lbs
  5. I am an emotional eater too. What makes me weird is that I cant eat when I'm mad, but it seems like when I'm over it, I have to eat. I also "crave" alot. I dont know what that's about. When I see others eating I just want something because I see them eating. I need help as well. I'm sure this is why I've only lost 41 pound in 4 and a half months. I'm in the process of moving into another house. We have been living with my mother in law in my husbands old small bedroom for 3 months and because I am stressed and so eager to go, and the fact that they eat everything known to man, I get the feeling this is why I've not been doing so well. I'm gonna look into the therapy thing first thing Monday morning.
  6. Congrats on your surgery. I hope your recovery is easy and fast.
  7. In my case, all of the above I too have been affected by. Some things I can do now: I can wear a belt, I can run after my son without getting tired really quick, I can run up and down stairs without my knees hurting. It all gets better by the day.
  8. Jen I'm gonna try that one. I've been drinking low carb chocolate slim fast. 20 grams of protein, very low carb grams. At Sam's club you can get 20 for about $15. or 4 at your local grocery store for $6.
  9. Congrats on your approval.
  10. Hi Skinny, I am 4 and a half months out. Between my 1st and 3rd fill, I had the same problem. When it happend to me, I count calories like crazy, just to make sure I wasnt going over. I did on a lot of days because I felt I needed food, but on those days I worked out extra. Dont worry it will pass. What are you eating?
  11. I was told that too. I was already thinking about loc'ing my hair again anyway, so I decided to go ahead and do it now. I did notice that it loc'd alot faster than before, so maybe the shedding helped me in this case.
  12. I too didn't tell a lot of people. Even now 4 months later on my husband, mother, sisters, and 3 close friends know. I tell people I count calories. I don't need anyone to judge. So to keep my attitude in check, I just won't tell anyone. I have thought about telling some who are having the same problem with weight loss, but even those I will second guess.
  13. southerngirl, good for you. I know dealing with these stupid insurance companies can make you loose your mind
  14. My name is JoVonda, JW for short...hince jdub. Anywho, I am a 27 year old High School Spanish teacher. I love teaching. I have a 2 year old son is running me right now. I have a very loving husband who I've been married to for 4 years on 7/31. I've been looking for a support group like this for a long time. I'm so glad one has been started. My progress with weightloss has slowed all the way down. I have restriction and plan on getting another fill on Thursday. My goal is to loos 100 by 3/19 which is my bandaversary.
  15. I have lost 41 lbs and I was banded 3/20
  16. Hi All, I havent been faithful in logging or wearing the bugg lately. But when I do wear it, my numbers are still higher then they used to be, but not as high as 6000 calories per day. I have been making it a point to wear in on Sunday's when I'm not nearly as active as during the week and the numbers show. So I dont think there's anything wrong with it. I haven't weighed myself in a long while, trying to stay off the scale. I will weigh this weekend and let you know what it says.
  17. Hey everyone. Still the same thing happend last week. I actually gained 3 pounds. As far as the calories burned, I cant help it. This is without actually trying to work out. This is just based on movement I do while at work or throughout the day. I'm scared to go to the gym at this point. I was thinking I would start on a high protein low carb diet, maybe that will increase my calories some. What do you think?
  18. Hello everyone. How is everyone doing with their bugg? As for me. I've been having an average daily deficit of 4600 calories and have only lost 1-2 pounds in the past two weeks. This week will be even larger since I just had a fill this past Thursday. What do you suspect it could be? My intake is an average of 1600 these past two weeks, but this week it's about 1000 because of the fill. Thanks in advance for the insight.
  19. Georgia girl, that has only happend when I've had it off for more than 30 mins also. If it doesnt pop up that means it is still calculating your calories burned.
  20. Sense, not offended, just seemed weird.
  21. Sensewear, I find it a little confusing that you are trying to promote this product to people who have spent $250 or more on the body bugg already. Maybe if your wanting to promote this product you should open a new thread...that way people can decide which one they are wanting.
  22. Tulip, putting weight in once a month sounds like a good idea. Keywestgirl, sounds like you got a good deal. Did it include your online membership also?
  23. I like you have measured everything. I only had one day of no measuring food and that was on mother's day. Mine also say I eat about 3000 calories per day based on my weight loss or gain for that matter. I will continue the bugg on. I know I need a fill, so hopefully it will give me more restriction and that will help with the amount consumed.
  24. renewed, I know exactly where your coming from. I also logged every single thing this week, made sure my deficit was at least 1700 per day and only lost 1 pound!!! When I looked at my progess based on my weight, it said I had a daily average deficit of 600 calories!!!! What the heck...I dont get it.
  25. Darby, I've had mine for 4 weeks and have been able to loose the amount I projected I wanted to loose. No it doesnt track calories consumed, you have to input those into your diary everyday. Yes I think it is recommended that you wear it every day for the first few weeks. I wear mine all the time because I'm still not to the point to where I can manage my intake and burn everyday. I ordered mine from 24 hour fitness for $220....without the display, but with a 3 month subscription.
