post op Day 4 I want to
Try to follow your plan. Try the protein shake in milk (or soy milk). Tastes much richer...
-
At what point did you feel most like you post op?
About 3 weeks for me. No pain after 3 days, no nausea, mostly just fatigue and getting the liquid and protein in!

Six Month Mark
Well Done, partner... Every little bit helps the tide rise (or the weight fall)

Surgery scheduled 7/17...does anyone else have Fibro, Rheumatoid Arthritis & Depression?
snoop around the site -- there is a LOT of information here. I don't believe your conditions are connected to sleeve surgery, but don't be shy about discussing with your PCP, Mental Health resources, surgeon and NUT. I don't believe the surgery will increase pain if all goes well, save for the first few days after surgery...

6 weeks post op...now what?
The foods suggested above are all great. Focus on proteind FIRST, then fruits and veggies, only last (and a very little) pasta type carbs. Consider getting "The Big Book of the Gastric Sleeve". Discusses NUT stuff in there!

You are not doing anything wrong! There is no timeframe for the rest of your life. You are a "loser", slow or fast, a "LOSER"!

Some questions for a nervous nelly...
I am an old guy and took 4 weeks and I am glad I did. However if your job is mostly sedentary, no worries. If you must lift or strain talk to your MD!!!

Right here love, right here. Snoop around, ask questions and meet folks in the same boat!

Headaches!
Think of it as toxins clearing from your "past diet ways". Take it easy, drink water, take tylenol if you need to and typically things improve by day 3 or 4...

One year anniversary
Well done, beautiful lady!

My tummy aches.
Whenever you have new stomach "woes" consider going back to pureed foods or liquids for a few days... Just take it easy!
-
carbonated drinks
Not to, ever. The carbonation is (apparently) bad for the sleeve. I have transitioned to water, lemonade, etc. I am not perfect. I do drink coffee. Not much and mostly decaf.

HBP, high lipids, knees and hips hurt, trouble with stairs and walking...

liquid diet
Woo Hoo! It's hard but well worth it. STICK with the program, and see you on the sleeved side!

Try this: "I'm two months out and have lost 30 pounds! Amazing! I am in this for the long haul, and 15 pounds a month will equal 189 pounds in a year!!!"
