  1. Unplesant but normal... You are clearing toxins from your body. Make it 3 or 4 days and it WILL get better. BUT if you add carbs back in you have to start the 3/4 days all over again, so try hard to press on through!
  2. And my plan ignores calories at this stage (and does so for 2 months!). Focus is on liquid and protein intake till all is well healed. Then we will shift to the meal plans and caloric intake... Remember, our new stomach is forever so there is no rush!
  3. Rant away, girl. You are among knowledgeable friends here!!!
  4. And despite all, I am glat they found the stomach issues. ALL of you needs to be 'fixed' and ready for the sleeve! Best of luck, dear...
  5. Yep, call your Doc! Likely BAD heartburn, but better to err on the safe side!
  6. Way ta go, Champ!
  7. I'm 63 YO, started at 423#. ALL went well with surgery and recovery. I'm as happy as a pig in mud.
  8. UNJURY has vitamins "formulated" for bariatric patients and all chewable.
  9. careful, OK. Water with a twist of lemon is OK too!
  10. EEK! http://www.foxnews.com/health/2013/05/12/is-popcorn-giving-heart-disease/?utm_source=WhatCounts+Publicaster+Edition&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Health+News+Brief+AMI+June+25+2013&utm_content=Is+Popcorn+Giving+You+Heart+Disease%3f%0D
  11. Consider buying "The Big Book of the Gastric Sleeve" or just explore the site. You'll find LOTS of good information! Welcome to you!
  12. WHY? try it and see what your stomach says. But it may be the pukes (the stomach might not be able to get everything 'ground up' to pass into the small intestine). 'Course, you could just put the salad into a blender and go for it. Actually had a minced brocolli slaw (I am 3 weeks out) yesterday that went sown well.
  13. It WILL get better. This may be the only time is is socially acceptable to burp and fart. So ENJOY!
  14. You'll much better after 3 or 4 days! Follow ALL instructions, and take the pain Rx till you don't need it. Oh, WALK!
  15. Just keep reading here and learning. Anxiety can't stand up to KNOWLEDGE!!
  16. Me too. About $1,000 out of pocket expenses. But from this end (after being sleeved), I'm good with it!
  17. Don't let the scale fool you... It's when I seem to NOT lose pounds that I see inches go away (I did not lose ANY weight for 2 weeks after surgery). But now I only weigh once a week... helps me from going scale crazy!!!
  18. I too am amazed at how different the plans are!!! Maybe YPMV for Your Plan May Vary?
  19. Sorry that I misunderstood, little friend!
  20. The hormone (Ghrelin) plays some part in feeking hunger. Physical hunger. It's got NOTHING to do with the Taco Bell ad on TV that makes you crazy!!!
