Nerve issues under left arm
This sounds as if a nerve is being impinged. Two quick possibilities... an issue with the cervical spine, though the discomfort would generally radiate down the arm all the way to the hand and some fingers, or some Other compression of the brachial plexus nerve on that side. Please see your PCP, this can be dealt with before it gets worse!

Can someone explain why eating and drinking at the same time is forbidden?
It was honest, though. And we all need a dose of honest. Don't fight the plan... We all want you to SUCCEED. This is a small behavioral change that can help you!

Does any1 feel like ...
Well, I don't know what you call it, but I figure that I am going through a LOT of behavioral changes. With the help of my NUT and others I am AND will be making dramatic changes in the way I eat and drink... for life. I guess you could call it a diet. I think I'll call it paying attention to what I put in my pie hole!

Just an observation...not intended to offend anyone
Well said. I'm with you, sister! I didn't get sleeved to do what I did before. I got the sleeve to help me, but I have to make the real changes!!!

Can someone explain why eating and drinking at the same time is forbidden?
This is one of the FEW topics that ALL plans agree on. So first, you don't need convincing, you need to set new habits! OK, when you eat food, you get full. That tells your brain to stop eating. Adding liquid (as others have said) causes food to move too fast into the small intestine, and you lose the benefit of saity. After a month, I am very used to this new behavior, and it has become natural.

why do we get acid reflux post op
We get acid reflux basically because life is so darned unfair!
-
Question?
Don't think you did "damage", a number of folks report similar things. Just take it easy and let it get better... if NOT better in a day or two, call the surgeon...

Kidney stones?
Need to see the MD quick!
-
Sore Throat?
Immediately after surgery it could be from the tubes used during the procedure... Now, not so much. Likely just a cold. Talk to your PCP for a good medication... Cloraseptic might help (the spray bottle)

Mentor needed! 7 days until sleeve!
'shrinking the liver' helps your surgeon who is trying to help you. Try HARD to be strict for the next week. Remember you will have to make BIG changes with the sleeve, just start now!

Lacking protein
You are just "woking on" the protein now. You want to get in all you need by 2 or 3 months, I think before bad stuff happens. Nevertheless, what are you taking in? It gets easier with the pureed and soft food stage!

No day but today!
You'll Do Wonderfully Well!
