  1. I still have 3.5 weeks till surgery, but my paperwork has 2 days liquid, 4 week purée, then soft foods
  2. My doctor isn't too conservative. He has us starting with purée 2 days after surgery for 4 weeks, then regular food.
  3. Wow! If you don't mind, what did you start at?
  4. Haha! I've never heard that! But in my skinny days I look like a sober version of Britney Murphy! Lol And congrats on your wedding! Definitely live it up
  5. Lol, I mean personally I feel I'm too young to make a permanent decision. I'm 23 with 2 kids. My husband is 28 and We feel that we are done having kids, but during my last csection I was given the option and just didn't want to do it.
  6. Ok, totally a tmi question, so you don't have to answer lol, but does your significant other feel it?
  7. Totallyyyyyyy off topic, but those of you with more a or any other iud, do you like it? I'm on nuvaring and loveeeee it, but I'm looking for a more permanent option. I know I'm done having kids, but too young to tie my tubes.
  8. This is so stupid. My 4 year old makes more sense..
  9. Got a problem with brunettes?! Lol
  10. No problem! I'm currently on Medicaid until my husbands insurance for work kicks in. I'm so lucky because my surgery and all of the pre op testing has been 100% covered.
  11. I have a friend that also has a 4 year old. So I can always send the older one to her, but the baby is veryyy attached to me and will only let either my mom or husband care for him (if I'm not there).
  12. That's probably what I'll do. My husband is home at night so he can always do bath/bed time. I guess we can eat "picnic" style so I don't have to put him in his highchair.
  13. Do you qualify for state aid? Like for insurance? Don't be embarrassed to receive state help. I'm in Ny, and I know they could help you with everything like medical, food, housing, and even jobs! Do some research for your state, or let me know what state your in and I'll look it up and post some links.
  14. This is what she thinks we should do. She's only in her early 50's so she's a young granny lol, but I just feel bad looking at the baby and not picking him up..
  15. Call your surgeon. Excessive vomiting isn't normal. In my surgeons paperwork, he says its not normal to vomit more then 3 times a week.
  16. But, the one year old can walk and climb the couch.. It's really just in and out of the crib and highchair that he would need lifting
  17. That's what I'm thinking. My 3.5 year old is very self sufficient, but the one year old is needy.
  18. Sorry for posting so much lately, but now that I have a date I have so many questions! So my mom and I have both been going through the process to get the sleeve. 2 different surgeons, 2 different insurance companies. My stuff has gone smoothly, she's had a lot of issues with insurance and her office (paperwork stuff). I finally got a date for July 3rd! So she put in for a week vacation time to help me with the kids while I recover (my husband works a job where unless its a serious emergency he can't take time off). So her surgeon calls her yesterday and says her surgery will be on June 27.. The week before mine!! She still thinks she will be ok to help, but I know she can't. So now I'll be recovering alone with a 1 year old, and 3.5 year old. Am I being unrealistic? Anyone come home from the hospital and get thrown right back into mommy life?
