  1. My nutritionist sucked. He basically kept trying to sell me medifast shakes and told me that surgery wasn't the way to lose weight. I just yesed him to death so he'd write my approval letter.
  2. I just slice them and put some garlic powder and lemon juice ontop
  3. Not really about the surgery itself. I have full trust in my surgeon. I'm nervous about how I'll feel waking up, how the first few days will be, about leaks and complications, about getting in all my fluids and Protein, about failing, about regretting everything. This is a permanent decision, and I've done years of research (probably too much research), but I still find myself getting that butterfly/queasy feeling whenever I think about how close it is. pre op diet starts in 8 days, and surgery is July 3rd. Not really much of a point to this, I just need to get my feelings out to people who are going through it. My husband just keeps telling me to relax, but he's naturally fit with no effort and doesn't really understand.
  4. He does 2 week pre op liquid diet. They encourage you to buy their shakes but they taste bad and are expensive lol. Also he only does surgery on Wednesday. 1 week before surgery you go to st. Charles for pre op testing and a mandatory educational class. About 4 hours all together. Then after pre op testing, you have to have your results faxed to your PCP where you will go for final clearance Edit: the liquid diet is 4 shakes per day, unlimited Clear Liquids, and one serving of either low carb yogurt or skim milk.
  5. My surgery is July 3rd! But he is absolutely amazing. He did my endoscopy too, so I got a sense of his bedside manor, and I couldn't be happier with him!
  6. You think this is bad? You should have seen my pregnancy forum! Imagine 10,000 pregnant woman with raging hormones! This is nothing lol
  7. 2 weeks of: 4 Protein shakes per day Clear liquids I serving of either skim milk or low fat yogurt. I start next Wednesday!!
  8. I gotta say, I typed out a very long, and not so nice response.. then deleted it Not worth it.
  9. Jeeze this sucks.. I'm pre op and have had no interest in sex since my younger son was born last year. I was hoping it would get better after! Lol.. My poor husband
  10. I've always worried about this too. I've failed every diet attempt, so I'm afraid ill fail at this too. But I've done sooo much research and realized that as long as you follow the basic rules, you WILL succeed
  11. I think you have to purposely try to gain to not lose. Like, constantly drink calories and eat slider foods, or eat until your stuffed all the time.
  12. Anyone drink coconut water? I know it's got a lot of health benefits and its low fat, but I'm not so sure about how many calories.
  13. No one knows except my immediate family and best friend. I'm a stay at home mom so I don't have a job or co workers to explain it to. Everyone has been supportive
  14. Maybe I called you nice because I've never said something ridiculous like "go eat Cheerios" a few days out. Haven't felt your wrath lol. You've always been nice to me!
  15. How about Jello? That's considered liquid.
  16. Have you tried going back to liquids for a few days?
