  1. I'm pretty pathetic that I'm still on my pre op diet and already missing food. But I miss SUSHI!!! I could eat sushi every day! I cant wait till I'm far enough out to try a piece or two!
  2. Surgery in 6 days! Yay! Anyway... I'm doing all my shopping for post op and I had a question. It's hard for me to take in a lot of water now.. I can only imagine post op. But I can take in things like crystal light and diet iced tea just fine. I'm wondering if my weight loss will be effected by taking in diet drinks, rather then plain water? I know, probably a stupid question, but I'm a perfectionist and I want to do everything possible to optimize my weight loss.
  3. Thanks! Right now I be him only nursing for nap time, Bertie, and middle of the night. I'm not going to nurse in the hospital.. I guess I'll just play it by ear
  4. I have stretch marks.. But I've also had two kids only 2 years apart :/. But I'm hoping for no sagging skin!
  5. Just updating.. She had her gallbladder done, had a hernia repaired, and had most of an ulcer removed. They said they couldn't see the whole ulcer, and due to the location of the ulcer, they couldn't sleeve her. She's still so doped up she has no idea she wasn't sleeved. Se will not be a happy camper when she wakes up! Thanks for calming me down everyone!
  6. My grandfather called and something happened and she wasn't able to be sleeved! He is too confused and didn't relay the readout well. The nurse got on the phone and said to call in 20 min and the surgeon will talk to me.
  7. Gallbladder does take that long?
  8. Is that a normal amount of time to be in the Or? My surgeon said 1-1.5 hours tops.. She's been in for 3
  9. My mom is being sleeved today. She's also getting her gall bladder taken out. She went into the OR at 1:30. It's now 4:45 and she's still n there. In this normal? I don't want to freak before I have to. I'm at home because my younger son is very sick, but my grandfather (who is 86 and partially senile) is at the hospital with her. Se also had a bad ulcer that they had to cut out. Does this seem way too long? I'm straying not to panic!
  10. I was thinking of living in leggings and yoga pants too until I'm closer to goal so I don't have to invest in pants every couple of weeks. I'm a stay at home mom so it's not like I have to worry about work clothes!
  11. Thanks everyone! I know we're going to be ok, its just frustrating to deal with. I think part of it is because he won't be able to come to the hospital with me. His a-hole boss won't give him the time since he's working towards a promotion.
  12. At first he was all supportive and into it. Now that surgery is only 10 days away he's gotten really snippy. He told me that I'm so obsessed with this surgery that he's tired of hearing about it and he even went as far to say that I'm being selfish and not putting my family first. He also said I'm neglecting my "duties" as a housewife/mom because I'm so obsessed with surgery. Part of me thinks he's scared and insecure, but when I ask him he denies it and says "if your going to leave then just leave". Maybe that's his ego. We've been together for 5 years, married for 2, and have 2 kids together. We usually have a pretty good relationship too. Anyone else dealing with a significant other like this?
  13. I've never seen the video.. Now I might look it up out of curiosity! Lol. I've had 2 csections, but never been knocked out with general anesthesia. I'm so excited!
  14. I'm in NY, and I'm lucky that my insurance covers my surgery 100% so yes, I'm having it in NY as well. How about you?
