  1. M surgeon said his first goal for me is to get to 27 BMI, then 25bmi. He never gave me a number of lbs to lose
  2. Well, I don't know how open you are about your surgery, but what I do is when I ordered, I asked them for a take out container and explained that I can't eat much. When my meal came out I packed up all but what I knew I'd eat and took the rest home.
  3. I'd do a shake, also small things like cheese sticks, babybel cheeses, deli turkey or ham rolled up, yogurt.. Do you have access to a fridge?
  4. Your doc told you to do that? I mean, I'm released to all protein/veggies (except raw) at 4 weeks too, but still no fruit or carbs till almost goal weight
  5. I have severe sinus tachycardia so for me, I can get that high often, but it can definitely be from the stress of surgery and your whole body trying to readjust.
  6. Same here. I have zero interest. But since surgery my husband and I have been having issues, so that could be part of it too.
  7. It's ok..I had diarrhea in the middle of the drug store while buying diapers for my son.. ironic huh? Then I got to drive all the way home before I could get cleaned up. Fun fun!
  8. I'm 2.5 weeks out and even though my nut said to only count protein/water and not calories, I still track and take in about 500-700 calories per day. Before surgery, I'm assuming I took in 3,000+.
  9. Amazing!! I remember when I first joined this site, you were either just sleeved, or just before you we're sleeved, and I've been following your journey! We were the same starting weight. I'm only 2.5 weeks out, but I hope to have the kind of success that you've had!
  10. I was allowed to swallow pills since the day I got home, but the nurse said I could take the liquid kids if the pills gave me a hard time.
  11. Awesome! I never felt any pain, never even used my pain pump in the hospital or filled my prescription. I've been back to my stay at home mom duties since day 3! The hardest part has been my mental battle with trying to overcome my food addiction.
  12. Thanks everyone! My doctor said I'm only allowed to walk, no other working out yet, so I've been walking a lot. And proudgrammy, I don't actually eat 4 oz of cheese lol! But my meal plan says 2-3 oz of protein with 1.5-2 oz of veggie per meal. So if I eat 3 oz of chopped up chicken salad with 1.5 oz of really soft broccoli, that's what I meant
  13. I'm with NY Bariatric group too! Had my sleev on July 3 with Dr. Angstadt!! They are amazinggggg
  14. I must have read 100 posts like this when I was pre op, but its so different once your on the other side. I'm 2.5 weeks post op and moved on to soft foods. I lost 22lbs the first week and a half, and nothing in 6 days. I'm always hungry. I measure all of my foods, and eat the kind of foods I'm supposed to, but it seems to be a lot more then most at this stage. I can eat 4oz at a time and not be full, and I get hungry in between meals. I try not to graze, but sometimes the hunger gets me and I'll have a piece of cheese, or a small bit of yogurt. I'm getting in all of my Protein, and drinking 70+oz per day. I track everything and eat 500-700 calories a day easily. It doesn't help that I seem to have the "sleeve of steel" and nothing bothers me. Sorry for the vent, I'm just feeling a bit discouraged today.
  15. I don't think it would be bad unless your drinking straight lemons or lemon juice. Then, I'd worry about the acid, but if its diluted in water or squeezed over food then I don't see an issue.
  16. If you look up the Bariatric Foodie on google, she has tons of recipes for everything including desserts! See if something on there looks good to you. Happy birthday!
  17. Tonight I had a meatball with sauce and melted mozzarella! Yummmm How is a tortilla sitting for you? I'm not allowed any kind of break product till like 8months to a year according to my dietician.
  18. My plan doesn't allow any carbs (pasta, bread, rice, etc) Until your pretty much at goal weight. I have had meatballs with sauce though, and that sat fine!
  19. How far out are you? My doc said for the first 2 months he doesn't count calories. Just make sure I'm getting in enough protein/water.
