  1. Don't give up yet. It is frustrating when the scale doesn't move. Talk to your dr maybe they can give ya some tips. Have you tried upping your water and protein or bring your calories up for a day or so? Also have you tried to change up your workout. Sometimes our body needs a kick in the pants. Good luck.
  2. I was able to eat steak early on. I had some copped brisket when I started on solid foods, I have had no reaction to food...yet. So I don't find it too odd that you were able to eat steak, I still do from time to time it's just heavy compared to fish or chicken. Hope you find out what's going on.
  3. I had one but I was asleep when they put it in and i was still very out of it when it was Removed. Was no biggie.
  4. My blood work did that a while back and it was stress related I was getting divorced but my blood work leveled off. I know it can be very scary when you have to see a hematologist/oncologist so my prayers are with you.
  5. I'm 2 months out and have lost the little ass I did have. And yep I got the weird stomach thing like the tongue stomach in the movie click. I swear I can flap it lol. Hello TT and fat transplant to the ass!
  6. I ordered an alert bracelet today online. I also put my info under ICE in my phone with my dr name and number, and my parents numbers. Along with my alert Bracelet I ordered a card I can put into my wallet with more detailed info incase my phone isn't around me. On my bracelet I put my name, surgery type and date, no blind NG tube, and my penicillin allergy.
  7. You look great! Congrats keep up the good work!
  8. My dr hasn't talked about a goal with me yet I'm only 9 weeks out. But I was 175 back in the day and other than needing to tone up I was happy there so I made that my personal goal. I will see where I am when I get there. It's also the high end on the range for a person of my age and height. I can pull off a heaver weight because I'm so tall (5'10) and I didn't look heavy then I was in a size 12-14. I did have some extra chubs on my tummy then but I felt good in clothes.
  9. I'm 9 weeks and I use a straw. I'm able to get more volume in from a straw rather than a sip. I don't notice any pain from air or extra burping. But I can tell if I take too big of a sip.
  10. Just focus on walking at this point. My dr said I could go back to the gym at my 2 week appointment. I didn't do anything but cardio till I was about a month out.
  11. I have a 7 year old and was home with her alone. I scheduled my surgery so she was with her father for the weekend and I was sleeved on a Thursday so I had a few days to get back on my feet. I had got some easy to make meals, frozen things if I didn't feel up to cooking. She helped me with laundry and such. Also I live close enough to the school maybe a mile so I walked her to school a few times to make sure I was off meds. If you think you can handle it then you can try but maybe set up some play dates in case you get exhausted. I didn't have much pain after surgery but everybody is different.
  12. Could be acid reflux are you taking anything for it. Acid reflux will mimic hunger.
  13. Awesome! My ex's new girl told my ex in front of my daughter that she looks fatter than me now. That made my day!
  14. What do you eat in a typical day?
  15. It's trial and error with the isopure. The grape and orange are pretty mild. They do have funny smells and odd tastes and will leave your mouth and teeth feeling weird/ cotton mouth. Make sure they are cold.
  16. I always ask for my water in a to go cup. I eat a little and they always think something is wrong with the food. I guess they assume big girl will clean her plate. But I get it in a Togo box and use it for lunch the next day or if my daughter gets hungry I will give her some. My biggest problem is nothing sounds good for the little I can eat.
  17. Keep your water and protein up it will pass. It happens to all of us.
  18. There isn't a set rate as we all lose different. I had lost 18 pounds at my 2 week appointment. Take whatever the scale says because it is a loss. You will do great!
  19. So I'm 2 months out today and down 44 pounds. I can feel my jeans getting less snug and can see some shirts are less tight in the belly. I do carry most of my weight in my bell so I get it might take a bigger loss on my part to see a change in pant size. It's just frustrating because 7 years ago I weighed 316 and was in a size 22 and now I'm 296 and still in a 24. I know I have come a long way and could have never lost 44 pounds alone let alone in 2 months. Sometimes I just wish I saw more physical change in my body.
  20. Sorry to hear that. I haven't had any problem with any food. Have you talked to the dr?
  21. I'm up all night too now
