  3. Sleeved 12/5/12 highest weight ever: 375 starting weight (8 mth journey) 327 day of surgery (post 2 wk liquid diet) 304.5 day's weight (home scale) 272 if I count from my heaviest weight, I've lost 103 lbs... Starting from March last yr (when I started the 8 mth journey), I've lost 55 lbs If I start from day of surgery, I've lost 32.5 I go for my 3 mth check up next week... we shall see what the official scale says...I have resolved that I am a slow loser... but I'm grateful for the loss... 4. yeah... what Laura said... LOL on the saggy skin... its happening for me... but even with the skin, I'd do it all over again
  5. I'm high BMI and I am still a slow loser when it comes to the scale... but I'm down 2 dress sizes so I'm losing tons of inches...
  6. I am almost 3 mths out... and for Breakfast I have eggs (sometimes scrambled, sometimes boiled) or yogurt. I usually eat meat and veggies for lunch (usually chicken or fish), and sometimes I will eat beef or pork roast (cooked really tender) with carrots and potatoes and veggies for dinner. Snacks consist cheese (sometimes with a couple of crackers) or apple and Peanut Butter. I concentrate highly on getting the Protein in me first... so I can keep that number high... I also have added chili, baked chips, microwaved pepperoni (crunchy like chips) pickles... at this stage, food is tasted so much better...up till a couple of weeks ago, eating was a chore because nothing tasted good...
  7. I found the Body Fortress Super Protein Shots (6 pack for 10 bux) at Walmart... they are liquid whey protein isolate shots with 26 grams/2.9 fluid ounces per vial... a few sips and I get a TON of protein in a few minutes.... I got the fruit punch flavor...
  8. I am not anticipating all the droopy skin that will be my thighs once I make goal weight... seriously drooping already and I'm a little more than 2 mths out!
  9. from Wednesday 12/5 till Thursday 12/13... straight 8 days... wished I'd taken more time off...
  10. I suffer from arthritis, bursitis and fibromyalgia... pain pain and pain... and my psych eval deemed me depressed but that did not exclude me from surgery... I got stalled in my exercises because of the arthritis/bursitis... but I have to say that for the most part, I am feeling better...mentally, physically and emotionally... Don't give up... don't lose hope...we all have our "issues" ... know you're not alone...
  11. Hey guys!! Goal met!!! Weighed today : 265 I think I'm gonna buy a new dress!! Good luck, guys!!
  12. Good luck on your goal! I made my first goal since surgery... to be under 275... by my birthday (May 3rd) I want to be down 25 more pounds... it may be a lofty goal... but I sure am gonna try!!
  13. I was on my pre-op liquid diet at Thanksgiving and post-op purees during Christmas...so I feel your pain... lol

  16. I've not seen a salad bar in a grocery store in years... but it did make me think about food choices on the salad bar when I decide to venture out to dine...
  17. hmmm didn't think about doing a salad bar... I've not gone out to eat yet... still a little fearful of the pressure...
  18. this is very eye opening! I've lost the weight of a normal toddler! I have a 4 yr old grandson who is too heavy to carry around... and to think, I had been carrying that same amount of weight and more for over 20 years! EYE OPENING!!! Thanks for bringing a new perspective...
  19. mindlessly putting stuff in your mouth... yeah... I've made that mistake! my youngest and I were at Wendy's and he had a carbonated drink... I was talking and picked up his cup ( something I used to do before surgery) and took a sip... pain under the breast bone... ugh! It felt like I needed to burp but couldn't... hopefully I won't make this mistake again...
  20. I'm grateful that I'm not experiencing hair loss...but I am getting in at least 50-60 grams of protein daily...
