  1. I had my surgery 12/17...& I sure don't feel like I've made great progress! I'm more of a slow looser. But on the positive side, my hair hasn't started falling out & my skin seems to be adjusting fairly well! & the scale is moving in the RIGHT direction for once!! Good luck & keep us posted on your progress!
  2. I'd be careful with too many laxatives..you don't want to have the runs tomorrow!
  3. Great! Thanks! Going to check tomorrow!
  4. Never heard of them....I will have to check out the Kroger here & see if they have them! Are they in the health food section...or with the breads & tortillas?
  5. I'm with them...it HAS to stay out of the house or I WILL eat it! I bought doughnuts for the grandkids the other morning & literally pushed them out the door with the kids when their parents picked them up! It's still too early...I have NOT conquered those demons yet..so I run from them!
  6. I'm 4 months out & only immediate family knows about the surgery.....everyone else knows I'm am eating high protein low carbs & watching my portions...totally true!
  7. Woohoo...congrats! I can't wait to join you in Onederland!!
  8. I had similar trouble...I emailed the dr direct & he forwarded it to her & that got her attention!
  9. My first was spaghetti...I had a craving!
  10. Congrats!! I can't wait to reach Onderland!! :-)
  11. Today I went through my closet to purge the clothes that are now too big! Yay! But I LOVE some of these things & am sad to see them go! :-( The good thing is I'm passing them to a close friend who had bypass last yr & is loosing to...so she will enjoy them! :-)
  12. I have not had this at all....actually I have the opposite problem at times. My sis-n-law had the bypass & has this issue though.
  13. That's Awesome! Congratulations!!
  14. I use the sour dill relish in my tuna. But I have also eaten a couple slices of apples...peel & all!
  15. I threw up when I first woke up after surgery...but it was the stuff they inserted for the leak test....not bad at all...more like my body rejecting that stuff. I'm not quiet 4 months out & never did again. My dr had some anti-nausea cream made that you rub on your wrist...worked great! Only had to use it a couple times though. Good luck.
  16. Protein shots ARE NASTY!! I threw mine away! Uggghhh!
  17. I HAD severe GERD, turns out I had a hernia that was repaired during surgery, & the sleeve works for me...haven't had a problem since. We are not dr's here & that's probably a question you should address with your surgeon.
  18. They are right, it's not the same "I'm stuffed" feeling...& it WILL sneak up on you! But you will learn your new tummy & the right portions for you...most of us get a sign..some get hiccups...I get a little burpy when I've eaten too much. I DO feel hunger though...& it's NOT head hunger!! It just takes much less to satisfy it now!
  19. Oh, & NUTs are OK....but I'd refrain from Pcp!! Just MO
  20. Onederland is where you can bougie on your sugerversary & celebrate with some warm broth! Don't you know anything!! :-D
  21. Just try & give them some time..clearly they love you & are concerned! Don't make this a power play you may regret, just try & give them some time & approach it calmly again! Hopefully you will find the other persons dr is different & you can show them some positive reviews for you dr & they will reconsider. As a mom I unsdestand their concern
  22. I'm so sorry your going thru this! Like Laura said...you gotta ask for help! Hopefully soon this will all be a bad memory! Sending (((Hugs))) & prayers!
