  1. Most overweight people have fatty livers. That's why some drs insist on pre-op diets...others adjust their operating tech to ensure the liver is out of the way.
  2. You know acknowledgement is the first hurdle! Good for you! The best thing about the sleeve is it will force you to restrict those urges. You may (and prob will) eat things you shouldn't..we all do, but just one or two bites & you will be satisfied! I too was a food addict, I have eaten the "forbidden fruit" but like I said...it loses its appeal! Good luck on your journey..you've already overcame a great deal!
  3. My grandkids keep trying to steal mine!! :-/
  4. Yep, the premier chocolate ones are the best!!
  5. Your doing better then me..surgery 12/17 & down 35lbs! :-/
  6. I too suffered WAY more pain..gas & incisional, with my gallbladder then WLS!

  8. Wow...I just THOUGHT I was allergic to exercise then! :-/
  9. Yes, I'm a nurse..& I understand your schedule. I would keep protein bars readily available & some protein drinks at the station. You could also keep the protein mix to add to your water on hand. I always keep a bar in my pocket to snack on if I get too busy to stop for a meal.
  10. Like DeeDee said...there is a difference in dr's, & some have given a "never again" list. I didn't have all the stages you listed, I also had no pre-op diet...just liquid diet the day before surgery. I was released to eat reg food at week 2! I have had no issues at all with eating anything. I also wasn't given a "never" list...my dr said "try it..if it makes you hurt or feel bad...don't do it!" simple as that. Now...with that said, I think you should follow YOUR dr's advice...not mine or anyone else's....do as yours says & you will get better!
  11. That's funny! Yes, I was serious...since it's used as a meat replacement...I wasn't sure if produce..or healthy section. :-/
