HI thats all very interesting l had reflux before l had my band had laprazole had my band done may 2007 no reflux until 2008 april had a barium done as l was having terrible night reflux waking up with sick in my mouththe chap that did my barium said it was from the contents that sat above my band not food that had gone through my surgeon sugested tat l have a defill but at that time things had settled down had another little fill now had a 6.75ml in a 10ml band bang all of a sudden l can only drink cannot eat infact liquids sat there a hour or so had to have 0.5 ml out he sugested 0.25 ml out since that moment l havnt had any reflux sleep like a baby BUT l am able to eat more my reflux is going to detere how far l can go good luck to you all keep supporting each other wendy

hi l had mine done in the uk by shaw somers l was back at work on day 4 no lifting for two weeks sloppy food ie shepardspie lots gravy mashed veg ect l found the whole procedure no worst than a mild period pain sleeping on the port side diffcult you will be fine good luck where are you having yours done at wendy:thumbup:

hi sally l live in kent l had my band done l year ago at st richards by shaw somers l have lost 3 stones the milk diet is 2l semi milk an ox cube diet drinks and diet jelly the ammounts seem to vary from doctor to doctor l dont like milk so l had the hight Protein diet a bit like atkins good luck let me know how your doing if you need tochat let me know wendy

hi l find that is the worst thing about having a lapband l am l year in and head hunger is my worst thing l always think oh l havnt eaten much try a bit more my body says you dont need it , l expect its one of those things that wont go away wendy

hi yes l think so l had a very tight restriction so tight that l had bad night time reflux l had to get up my thrat felt burnt l had a barium by that time things had improved l had also lost more weight which l think losene the band a little and l have not suffered since touch wood wendy

hi just read your thread my docor has given me zoton fast tabs tha disolve in your mouth l take one eves as thats whem l suffer l try not to eat after 6 liquid meals help in the eves l had my barium the reflux was not from the stomac but from resedue food left in my uppr band l have not spoken to my surgeon but have been told by his secretary that its been caused by being to tight l go nxt friday for a defill small l hope ps have had no reflux for two weeks now so do l need a defill!!! keep in touch wendy

hi hope your feelng better my surgeon put me on zoton fast which l have to take before bed that seems to be working they are expensive see if you can try them they stop the acid forming wendy

hi thats interesting l had my band done 31st may 2007 l had reflux before my op 8months after l never suffered l have 6,5ml in a 10ml band for the last 3 months l have suffered at night only with terible reflux sometimes l have woken up with the sides of my mouth burnt. so l went back to see mr sommers as my years care is nearly up l was put on zoton fast tabs there has been a slight improvement but l am up still at least two nights a week with it l thought yesterday as l only have 2 weeks left l need to sort this out l spoke to him l have to go and have a barium and be deflated then gradually be refilled l have lost 2st 8lbs l would love to lose the 3st that was my goal hope all goes well let me know l would be interested to see how you are doiung wendy

l was 54 when first banded l surrered with reflux before l have been free from it for 10months then it came back with vengance its at night l end up getting up my surgeon has put me on zoton 30 mg fast tabs that dissolve in the mouth l have had a couple of good nights followed like last night up all night l am trying tonight last eating at 6 in the eve any tips l would be grateful wendy
