  1. I backed off on my iron supplement ... and that did it! I am post menopause and the 65 milligram dose was just too much for me. I take half a tablet and have returned to normal. But first, I tried adding more raw fruits and veggies, exercise, even a stool softener. Also, nutritionist said to not go over 70 grams of protein - which can constipate you. Hope that helps
  2. Ditto to the list above - plus hummus, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, tuna (pureed) egg salad ... No caffeine for me - not recommended at all bc of diuretic effect. And no carbonated beverages allowed - ever. That's my NUT rules.
  3. Yep, you are in a stall. Just keep drinking, moving, stay on your program. It will come down. (I get why you want so bad to see that come down under the 300!) The fact that your clothes are feeling looser - lets you know that you are burning fat! Keep going!
  4. Wonderful post! Loved every detail - all very similar to mine - except the saliva part. No nausea past day one
  5. I am 3 weeks out today too! We have lost the very same amount! I am transitioning to soft foods today. I love your "green shake" idea! My Doc wants me to shoot for 2# per week But, I am expecting a stall soon - everyone says it happens.

    Congratulations! Awesome weight loss!
  7. Prayers going up!
  8. I am 5 days post surgery and worried that cooking for others would be really hard. Especially on a holiday weekend. I have had no problems cooking, serving food to my husband, grandkids, or guests. I always set a place for me - a pretty saucer and small (1/2 cup ) appetizer bowl with 3 ozs of protein soup, or a small, pretty juice glass with 3 ozs. of protein shake. I eat the soup with a baby spoon - the kids got a kick out of it. The reason I can do this is: I am not hungry! The pre-op diet got easier after a few days too.
  9. Two suggestions are hummus and vegetarian refried beans for the mushy stage
  10. Prayers going up for you!
