  2. This is mine too !! LOL LOL LOL But I am going to add that I want the exercise part to become such a habit that I actually start to crave it & don't feel good without it to the point that I must do it even if I am exhausted. I want my exercise to be like a "Drug Addiction" to me. Please Santa Please Santa Please
  3. I am so sorry your having to start all over:0( But it is always true that things are happening for reasons we do not nor sometimes never understand. God Bless you & I hope your approved quikly w/Aenta
  4. Way to go!!!! That is super- GREAT JOB!!!!!
  5. CONGRATS!!! That is such wonderful news.. I wish you a lifetime of happiness & good communication!!! I Love Tribbles & Big Paul --you win the award for most geekiest- nice website:0)
  6. Yes- There were many whom have gone here on LBT & many who have had problems following. But there have also been some who have gone & have had no problems. PLEASE Do alot more research & talk directly to those who have gone prior to making any concrete plans. Good Luck! My personal opinion: I would try anything to stay state side.
  7. What great smiles & all those beautiful big eyes!!!! WOW What sweet photos!
  8. I feel the same way alot of the time. I PBed really bad the other day & after all was done I had some Water & it was the strangest feeling of a "Pop or Movement" It scares the hell out of me that it may be slipped. But I guess I'll never know till I have a test done & since I still have restriction I need to stop worrying. So far I'd say I would do it again but I would wish that the learning curve was less for me. I seem to take a LOOOONNNNNGGG Time to learn & impliment rules when it comes to my own body:0) I still haven't started a good exercise routine & I am 6 months out.Ohh the Shame of it all!;0) On the plus side I am today 30 pds down & the most I have ever lost on a "diet" was 35...... so onward & downward!
  9. OHHHH HAPPY DAY IS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOT DIGGITY DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOTTTWHOOOTTTTTTWHOOOOO!!!!! What a GRAND GREAT SPECTACULAR DAY!!!!!!! P.S. I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!:0)
  10. Not sure to which Doctor your asking about?? Dr.Pleatman (Who is a man) Does fills using a type of ultra sound in his office to locate the port. Flora is usually only used in cases where the port can't be located under regular cirumstances, to the best of my knowledge.(i.e. flipped port)
  11. I would call you DOc again & say you must get in. If they still can't than defineitly all liquids untill next week. You can do this- no vegs in soups or anything- just liquid. You'll be fine once you have a slight unfill. Good Luck!
  12. Well seeing that everyone is voting on Michigans Best, I must now place my vote: The BEST WEIGHTLOSS SURGEON IN MICHIGAN The award goes to Dr.Mark Pleatman I too checked out all the other doctors in Michigan & encourage you too also. Most are mentioned above. After extensive research my choice was clear -- It was Dr.Pleatman. By the way I am doing very well!!!
  13. Wonderful news! So glad to here your well. Now have a great new yr w/your band in place:0)
  14. Thats interesting?? hhmmm .... I have never heard of this. I also have two dental surgeons in my family. This is news to me, I'll have to ask again. I was told there was no need for anything, even when having gum or dental surgery.
  15. Thank you very much such great news.....I didn't know
  16. WHere are you from?? If you in Michigan or even passing through my door is open to you & we can have a great time just talking w/one another. CHeer up if you can & find something anything to get you active & smiling everyday. Glad your on the boards here:0)
  17. What a great DH Vines. It must be such a huge support to you too kow that he is behind you & helping you along your journey & that you are helping hime along his journey. Probably two totally different roads are taken but ultimatley the same destination. You'll be stronger togther because of your support. Thats such a great thing to have!!
  18. WOW- I knew there was a reason I need to read this thread-lol lol lol lol lol . I ususally wait for as long has possible. 45 mins or 1/2 hour. But when I am in pain I just bend over & up it comes. Sometimes I do make myself gag to help it come up. I usually puke x2 & than no more pain at all. Please Please don't ya all start yellin at me. Penni set me straight a month or 2 ago & I got some restriction taken out. Now I only Pb about every 2 weeks or so. Which sounds like alot but considering I was every 3 days its much better. I am a slow learner. SO back to Hopefullythin's question for me it helps to get the stuff out & calm my throat from over working & spazms. Than I just rest for several hours. I am pretty sure that I am WRONG for doing this but I am honest & will tell you I do. I feel personally its better to be rid of the culprit in one minute than to have my espophagus struggle for 45 mins. Again I know that I am probably wrong here - so please don't do it if at all possible. I just thought I would throw another opinion in the mix for you. I am still learning everyday & like I said improving but I still run into problem every so often. Good Luck !
  19. Dear Jonathan I am just recently back on the boards & have now seen your post. Hopefully your band has now slipped back into place & your Christmas miracle has come early. If not have you tried Dr.Pleatman here in Michigan?? The office manager is KAren or Joe(a Lady) They are both helpful. They do exept BC/BS & he is sometimes also on the boards here. I attached his website & hope your situation straightens itself out soon. I am truely sorry your going through all of this. head up:0) http://www.laparoscopy.com/pleatman/index.htm
  20. So happy to hear you healing now Francesca. It was great to speak with you even though it was too quick.JUst remember not to over do anything especially because you surgery was so invasive. I pray the stomach Gods are kind to you & your back to an upright position soon. I know you must be so happy getting all that crap out of your gut (Tubes & Staples) I'll talk w/ya soon. TC
  21. Well I just got off the phone w/Penni & she still has her sence of humor intact!!!LOL SHe is home & her DH is taking great care of her. Her upper GI went well after surgery but was not without discomfort. She said she'd be back on the boards in a day or two & that she looks forward to sleeping in her own bed tonight. She said she is also losing a few pounds b/c she is only on liquids & than mushies over the next week or so while she heals. She sends love to all. HEAL UP FAST & TAKE THINGS SLOW PENNI WE LOVE YOU GIRLIE!!!!!!
  22. Justback on the boards & saw your post. I have prayed for your brother & his doctors. May this operation be the begining of another miracle for your brother.
  23. Just an FYI... It is not mandatory for anyone Doctor out of the USA to report any statistics on erosion nor any other complications. There are no standards/ no regulations outside the USA in place for them to report except(if they wanted too) to Inamed. Even then they DO NOT have to report anything. So its strickly their word & honestly. I know of one MX Doctor who is friends of my own Doctor(USA) that he told him he had only had 1 erosion in the past 5 years. Well that isn't true at all b/c I know of two gals that had their bands removed & eroded & went to this Doctor. So its only what they CHOOSE to report. We should all just keep that in mind, so everyone can make healthy & happy informative decisions. Good Luck to all for are banded & who wish to be banded!
  24. Way to poll Donali!!!! Great One. Loving being banded but still scared with all these things lurking up recently. We all need to be aware of our bodies always:0)
  25. If you ok with that.?:0) I think its a great post as well. But since I voted & am only 5 months out the majority will be in the middle range. I would really love to know Sue about those out for a year or more & how their bmi are. Its such a healthy/motivating bit of information to have. Thanks for doing it.
