I'm 4 days post op and my mouth have been filling up with spit constantly I'm spitting ugghh very irritated!! So I called the doctors office and the nurse told me to drink pickle juice!!! Worked like a Charm!!! I Love Nurses!!!! LOL

ginger tea... just a few sips will calm the nausea...

Decaffeinated Green tea works wonders! Thats what worked for me. It should only last for the first week or so!

I was also sleeved on Tues, January 8th. I experienced severe nausea on the 2nd post-op evening. I was still hospitalized and the staff gave me Thorazine, solumedral, and a scopalomine patch. I dry heaved for 4 hours. I had a lot of sinus drainage which didn't help. I'm better today and home. Hope you are feeling better soon.

My doctor prescribed Zofran and that really helped. I also used a nurses trick of sniffing an alcohol wipe. Thankfully, I never actually through up and the nausea passed by day 4. It WILL get better. Keep your chin up :-)

Hi Pinkie I did as well its the fear of the unknown but you will do fine! I had alot of emotions Happy Scared Anxious etc but you will overcome that as you come closer to your day! Good Luck and God Bless!

Congrats on your sleeve I had mines yesterday as well and experienced the same threw up only once when I woke up and as the hours pass i feel more and more better! This has def been a journey to remember but right now at this point im glad I didnt change my mind and lord know my nerves had me on the verge of doing so! Living the dream, appreciate the new way of life...I have had No pain, down to taking only over the counter pain medication/ Tylenol....

Tomorrow is game day! 8:30 check-in and 11:30 surgery. Just finished cleaning the house and picking up the last of my post-op preps. I wonder if I'll get any sleep tonight.

Congrats on your surgery! I am at my Doctors office for my last pre-op testing. My date is 1/14... I'm so scared excited and emotional all in one...I am happy to read post that have a positive outcomes it helps with the process ...Even thought the negative ones are eye opener and help with post op sign and sympotoms....My crazy brain starts to play tricks on me and doubt.

Congrats to all of you having surgery today. Your in my prayers and I hope all goes well. I have two days until surgery and am getting nervous/ excited.

We are sleeve sistahs I too have surgery on the 8th and each day that grows nearer I get a lot of emotions Happy Anxious Scared etc but I know everything will be okay I guess its the fear of the unknown! I love your post I need that strength right now! Good luck and God Bless to all my Jan sleeve sistahs and bros! Let keep each other posted on our experiences and once we cross over to the losers bench lets promise to help those coming up in the months to come! Im praying for everyone to have a successful pain free complication free surgery!

The day is finally (almost) here... Tomorrow at this time I will be sleeved .... I'm a little bit sick (got the flu) but called the Dr today and he said that as long as there's no fever I'm good to go. Not nervous yet, lets see tomorrow morning. Got to be there at 9:30am. I will be 3 weeks post-op tomorrow and I am LOVING my sleeve. True, there are some horror stories, but the surgery is very safe. Congratulations on your decision to take charge of your life and your health. This time tomorrow you may be thinking, OMG, WTH? BUT, it fades quickly. Good luck!

Hi, my surgery is on January 16. Im scared too. Its especially hard because everyone has an opinion. My family is also scared and hearing there fears doesnt make it easier. But i do understand they just love me. Just the way I am. What they arent thinking of now is that just the way I am is not healthy. So scared or not I have made peace with it. I know its the right thing and I have to leave it in gods hands. I hope you find that peace for yourself. Good luck and god bless whatever you decide

good luck i just came out of surgery on Jan 3 in tj mexico. My doctor was jesus ortiz and i had the best experience ever. YOu will love your sleeve. No pains today waiting to take drain out. sip all day and walk the gas off. good luck
