  1. Sent out four PMs today to the girls who have not posted..
  2. OMG! I'm in love with Jodi foster!! I know weird but I've loved her since the movie "the little girl who lives down the lane" (I'm old ) How was Elysium? My daughter and I loved district 9.. And yes M2G, when I'm lying awake I think about everything!
  3. Chimera, How long have you been doing the 16/8 schedule? I think it's a great concept. The "resting" hours in the 5:2 plan, in my opinion are more important than sticking the 500 calories.. But wow, I don't know if I could do that everyday though!
  4. Girl, cheat! cheat away, but make it with a piece of cake or something. I hate to see you putting an unnecessary drug in your body.. It's a special occasion, these happen sometimes. You know I'm up with the chickens today because I couldn't sleep.. In the flood of random thoughts that kept me awake, one was about the holidays. A little early I know, but hey. Well I was thinking how am I going to handle all the good food. I started thinking that I will try not to stress about it but I will fill myself with protein first at any given occasion, then after I will give myself permission to taste the goodness of treats here and there. I hope your cast has loosened up today!
  5. If you type "Garcia" into the search box you will get enough reading to keep you busy for hours.
  6. I tell my husband I can never move to far away for the beach, I need it for medicinal reasons. Good luck on Monday. Just remember deep cleansing breaths...
  7. Ok you ladies must be out living fabulous lives today! I hope everyone doing Thursday had a good day. I'm wrapping up the day at 495. Drank tons of water and got rid of that bloat. Now I just have to make it through the witching hours until bedtime. Oh have fun coops!!
  8. My surgeon used an apple fritter...
  9. Congratulations on your success so far
  10. Lol! That's funny!
  11. Yeah the outpatient thing weirds some people out.. But I know some vets (and newer) people here loved him... (Umbach) The Texas Dr? Yes he has a LOT of followers here if you do a search there are pages. 13 a day?? That's a lot yes... I can tell you when I had my surgery my surgeon ran hours late for me into the early evening. Because of a complicated surgery on a super obese woman with health issues before me. I would be lying by saying I wasn't a bit concerned about fatigue... I was like "you know I can come back tomorrow" I lived..
  12. Good stuff Amanda I wondered that since he's in Las Vegas..
  13. Not me, but I did a search and this woman did recently.... http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/user/54127-leigh1111/ You can read her posts about it or pm her?
  14. You can just buy Campbell's cream of chicken or mushroom and so on, they make them in the fat free also! Make sure to stain them
  15. My wagon has gotten a flat tire more than once girlie! Vacations they are hard to rebound from sometimes! the last one took me a good week (or two) of beating back cravings. Ok the most important thing I see here is the SNEAKY eater! That was (is) me, how I deal. With it now is talk about it. I throw a bright light on it by telling my husband that the behavior is creeping up again when it does... I don't know just telling someone helps, he never thought this surgery would work for me because ad he said "But Laura you never eat" honesty to him has been very freeing...
  16. There is no way I could of taken care of anybody but myself a week out! So I wouldn't count on his help to much....But the good news is that I was able to take care of myself right after surgery.. So the best thing you can do is set yourself up For an easier time by making sure before surgery that you have everything you need at home already. I mean everything and a big variety of all liquids because you never know what will and won't work.
  17. Yep a Oreo still tastes like an Oreo to me!
  18. No matter where you go, no matter who does your surgery, you cannot get any guarantee that complications or death will not occur. I took that chance after doing my due diligence finding my surgeon. At the end of the day it was a chance I was willing to take because morbid obesity was killing me already.
  19. Hey girls! Pizza yum the recipes sound good! I'm fasting today also. My stint at 159 seems to have come to and end. Yesterday was a regular day and I ate two things that were processed! One being a specialty chicken burger that said all over the package about how natural it was yada yada yada.... Sodium bomb! I just can't do to many prepared meals, plus after eating stuff like that I get so thirsty and you know the 30 minute rule becomes torture. Also had some protein pickle chips (they weren't that good really) Second salt bomb. My wedding rings are tight this morning and the scale said 161! Ugh I'm drinking like crazy today! And yeah Cheri I usually don't eat until lunch on a fast day but I know you need a bite earlier but I wouldn't worry if you pushed it off. I think the extra fasting time is a good thing. Cancer? Oh boy... Sweetums happy bday for you daughter! And About your husband. Good day today girls!
