  3. Happened to me, use ur respirex (the thing that u suck air out of to make the ball move to expand ur lungs) ur temp will go down. Also the arm thing Happened to me it got red and almost rashy. It went away after 12 hours or so didnt end up being anything. They said it was from meds or anesthesia... I'm 6 weeks post op now and had no problems with arms since then. Although deff show the nurses encase its something like a blood clot.
  4. I feel the same way I'm 5 weeks out...I get so depressed waking up feeling crappy every morning. I miss being happy and active now I just feel like a slug and always so dizzy and tired. Proteins not my problem but fluids is I only get about 45-50 a day in and I push non stop it just never adds up in the end of the day. I wish I could chug as well it would be much easier. Little sips just doesn't quench your thirst. I pray the day comes where I get my energy back and feel me again.
  5. I'm the same way so nervous about trying new foods. I have been doing watermelon since week 3.5-4 and it has been fine. Only thing is I limit it the best I can because of the sugar although my nut said its "natural sugar and that's ok". Looking foward to some strawberries and apples....broccoli and asparagus as well. Although I know the fiber is high in those things so I'm worried! What about nuts anyone eat any peanuts or cashews almonds at all?
  6. How long after surgery did u eat fruit and veggies with seeds and peels? My doctor said to avoid them first few weeks post op and raw veggies until 6 months but did specify on specific time for seeds and certain foods like apples or grapes plums...also broccoli or eggplant or squash if its cooked.I'm about 5 weeks post op. thanks for anyone who replies!
  7. Totally sucks! I thought I was in the clear!
  8. Have you ever tried a food...turned out okay felt good with no problems. Tried it again and it made u so sick?? Just happened to me. Not sure if I'm having an off day or it's the food I should avoid.
  9. Thanks for the replies guys!
  10. I hope so! I try to keep positive but it makes me worried every time I introduce a new food I'm prepared it may not settle right. And Every time it's fine. It makes me think I'm doing something wrong lol. Over analyzing I guess. At my support group people even 10 months out were saying they couldn't eat meat but i have had no problem with any of them so far.
  11. I am 4 weeks out, able to eat pretty much anything except raw veggies, pasta, bread or rice... Untill 6 months. The past few days IV been doing great except I struggle with fluids still. I'm frustrated though because I have already hit a plateau...stuck at 23 pounds down for almost two weeks. I'm concerned maybe I'm eating too much? Or advancing and trying new foods too quickly. I stayed true to my doctors orders but not understanding why the scale isn't moving. I am not cleared to work out yet but I have been walking about 30 mins a day. Today I ate a protein shake for breakfast, lunch I was able to eat some ground beef and cheese (1/4 cup) ad for dinner I had two small scallops. I chew small small bites eat slowly and don't drink until 30 mins after. Anyone else have issues with stalls this early out? My nutritionist was pleased with me but I feel like no foods really "bother me" except powerade which made me dump.

  13. I am sensitive to sugar. IV dumped twice so far on Gatorade and powerade both times. I got awful stomach cramps, extreme lightheaded, heart was racing and I felt like i couldn't breath I was so warm. Only lasted about 5 mins but I will tell you in those 5 mins I thought I was dying. Luckily no vomiting just the other end. My nut it Says it was deff dumping and says g2 is fine but I'm afraid to try it! Blah!
  14. No nuts seeds berries for 6 weeks....raw veggies, pasta, rice or bread 6 months for me.
  15. My doctor said that he used to start his patients on puréed diet day 3 post op. he has since changed the diet but I wouldn't worry too much. Just remember why you did the surgery gotta have Will power! It gets better once you advance but try your best to stick with doctors orders.

  17. Yes ESP on left side. Still hurts too!
  18. I had a hiatal hernia repair with my sleeve. About 9 days post op... Awful heartburn! I am on Pepcid twice a day but no other meds as I am allergic to Nexium, omeprazole extc... Anyone else experience heartburn after sleeve and is it safe to suck/chew on some tums? I'm on purée stage. I can't imagine it wouldn't be but just seein If anyone else used them. Thanks :-)
