  1. Fiddle, you are the supplement king! But do you think that maybe you take to many? I mean not the normal Vitamins and minerals we take. But sometimes my head spins when I start reading all the new things you add in.. You know I love you (and mrs Fiddleman too) But sometimes keeping simple through good simple nutrition is not a bad thing.
  2. Good luck to you! I know the process with Zare was easy.. The turn around for me was first appointment in September surgery November. That's with all the insurance stuff. El Camino is a beautiful hospital but I had mine done at Good Samaritan. Because my husband works the ER in El Camino and I didn't want it to get out that I was doing it Good Sam is a little older but you get a private room so that was nice! Not sure if its private in El camino?
  3. Yes I was about to say Zare too! I'm nine months out doing great. There is also dr Cirangle in San Francisco that has quite a following.
  4. Lol! Maybe you can watch someone else eat a spoonful a day? Oh, and who eats just a spoonful!
  5. I have to say two things. First I do 2% because I'm not opposed to a little fat in my diet. But the 0% tastes ok too, I just feel it doesn't stick with me that long ( I eat this as a meal not a snack) And the Danon light and fit? Be careful with all the ingredients including cornstarch to thicken it (Not a true Greek yogurt) same with the yoplait Greek not true Greek it's milk protein concentrates and gelatin, bean locust gum to thicken.... But hey it's better than an Oreo!
  6. Vitamin d prescription, yes the endo dr just stared my on those because of my levels were very low...
  7. Yeah blueberries may have wait, i think they are ok at softs stage but don't quote me But peaches are good I tell you I look forward to that meal everyday!
  8. Girl I boil a whole chicken every week! I eat lots of chicken too.. I put chicken on my salads everyday. I eat ground turkey parties extra lean patties can be up to 25 grams of Protein per patty. For Snacks I do low sodium turkey meat from the deli counter. Or hummus and veggies. Veggies = GOOD carbs don't worry about those! Bad carbs are anything processed! Polenta? Umm I don't think it has any redeeming qualities.
  9. I eat Fage 2% plain Greek I put a bit of stevia (or Splenda ) in it and some frozen blueberries. Yummy! And 20 grams of protein. 8 carbs..
  10. Ah butter just poking!! You know that's my specialty... I know you meant nothing mean. I'm sure so did the op. geeze NOW I feel bad!
  11. Yes get retested! That's what the endocrinologist did a simple retest of the blood! After the surgeon already had me do a 2000 dollar scan. The parathyroid (calcium numbers were fine) He said most surgeons bring out the big guns like expensive scans, when really if the numbers come out weird you should do a repeat blood test first! Ugh... But he found a nodule that's bad so yeah...
  12. I just went through all of this! My surgeon sent me to get a sestambibi scan.. Inconclusive! Then he sent my to the endocrinologist. He retested (blood) and I'm fine bit I have a huge nodule on the left side of the thyroid that he's doing a biopsy in two weeks and them wants to take it out But the parathyroid is fine! Oh sorry, I already had surgery never mind
  13. Don't you hate when you think you did something great, and couple of negative Nancy's come in an rain on your parade!! They are all right though.......
  14. OMG! I never noticed chunks, but wads of it were in the shower everyday oh and all over the house! . It does stop though and gets better.. Hang in there. If you need too go buy some hair fibers like topix to make it look fuller.
  15. Would you guys stop talking about baked goods! Damn now I want a f**king cookie!
  16. Whole foods? Meh... A formulated chain store hopping on the health food craze. In the 80's the store was decent but these days? The fresh fruits and veg are good but over priced. Oh and the Ezekiel bread is a good price there (but I don't buy bread anymore ) I'd rather go to the local farmers markets and buy my specialty items.
  17. How about when you see someone you haven't seen since you lost the weight and they don't say a word! Just happened to me today, not a peep! I would of loved the "ton" comment....
