  1. inbox me for my information. I don't have a problem discussing it. We can email, text or talk! :bigear:
  2. I am so excited for you! I know you went through a of mental stress to get to this point! My boss doesn't know either, but she will when we have a luncheon next week.
  3. What size bougie did you have?
  4. My experience was almost the same as yours. I giggled when I read about the EKG machine, but truthfully it did give an accurate reading and It didn't have the leads that we have in the states that leave the sticky residue on your skin. They took the time to clean off the gel when it was dont. Nevertheless the blue "clips" they put on your ankles and wrists are weird, but like I said, it gave the same accurate results. Thanks for giving another accurate testimony of how great Dr. Garcia and his staff are. I couldn't have said it better myself. Hope all is well. I don't know what kind of anesthesia they gave me but I am just starting to get the feeling back in certain "unmentionable" parts of my body. lol
  5. OMG I made the salami, ricotta, and mozzarella bites today and yum. I chewed until it was practically water but yuuuum.
  6. Ok so I laid down and sipped water and I feel better. Maybe I missed that section of my post op diet information. I needed the boost to catch up on schoolwork from being out with surgery. Boy did I pay for that. Don't try this at home kids. I learned from this mistake.
  7. I finished a cup of coffee about 30 minutes ago and now i feel dizzy and lethargic. I didn't see anything about not having coffee and I even put some protein powder in it. I make 1 week sleeved on tomorrow. I think I need to lay down for a while and sip on water. This is an awful feeling. Coffee is officially off of my list!!! :nonod:
  8. I was sleeved this past Monday and I am bloated and swollen. I really need to watch my sodium intake from the broth. I am relieved to see that this is a temporary thing. I was worried that I messed it up by licking that teaspoon of hummus. I am a little paranoid right now.
  9. Glad to hear things went well. I was sleeved on Monday with Dr. Garcia. I love his demeanor, He is very soft spoken. I like Samual. Ask him what he does besides being a driver. You will be surprised. He gets around in that Volvo.
  10. I was so hungry coming home from TJ and craving food, but now that I know that it's head hunger I can deal with it better. I'm full on pills right now! lol
  11. I have a video of the leak test and my hubby took a pic of my old removed stomach.
  12. I went to the pharmacy in Mexico and bought a big bottle of omeprozole and it works well. And cheap too. SAMs sell it too for cheap. Acid reflux is my worst problem right now. Oh btw hey my sleeve buddies!!
  13. I can't wait to get home to see the video of my new stomach. I have a picture of the old one too. I will share soon.
  14. I'm going home. I miss my kids and my bed. This was great I just need some family time. Those street vendors got on my last nerve. I would send my family to dr Garcia. It's sad how words hurt people who don't deserve it. I think having someone who knew Spanish with me helped. They spoke enough English to take care of me.
  15. My new life. I like how that sounds.
  16. I wanted to take a minute before I attempt a walk outside of the hotel to say thanks for all of the well wishes. This was a major decision to make and I am glad I have people who understand what i am going through. Add to that a supportive husband I am fortunate to have a good circle. I just want to encourage everyone to go for it and let you know that the bumps are going to be hard but it is worth it. I'm only a few days out but I've had every emotion in the world. Nevertheless I am happy and looking forward to the future. I am happy about going to Dr Garcia and choosing Sandy at a lighter me. I had all of my questions answered and my process went smooth. The nurses were sweet and the dr was soft spoken. I left the hospital knowing I was in great hands. Ok time to take a walk and get my broth. Later gators!
  17. I was sleeved on Monday too and my biggest issue is acid reflux. I cannot sleep with one pillow and it is waking me up all night. Dr Garcia gave me plenty of meds and they are working but the acid is making me miserable. I'm going to try to go out today.
  18. I was sleeved this past Monday and I can't believe I pulled this off. I'm proud of myself. You will be too.
  19. I wish I could get more comfortable. I keep waking up fixing my pillows. I had a great shower last night. I can deal with the gas. On a funnier note: my husband was in the bathroom tearing it down and I was actually jealous of how easy it was for him to poop. Lol. Yes jealous of poop. I'm laughing at myself on that one.
  20. I am at the Lucerna Hotel. The solution was yucky for both tests!
  21. I just have something simple to say. Several times you've compared her to other women albeit her sisters and even your ex. That's not fair to her situation and it may help to look at this thrugh fresh eyes without comparison. Talk to her and if she isnsmartmlikenyou say then she is going to make the best decision for herself THEN it's up to you to do what makes her happy and healthy. It's not about you or your blessing. It's about what she thinks is best for herself. I had my surgery Monday and I am obese and needed this. After I gave my husband the information he was highly supportive. I respect that more than having to convince him.
  22. I was sleeved on Monday and the first night I was miserable but soon after I had a breakthrough and I feel fine. The gas and pain is not bad at all. I have pics I will post soon. I even have a pic of my old stomach and a video of my new stomach. I am over the moon. Dr Garcia said that I had a lot of scar tissue from my other surgeries but I did fine. I have enough paperwork to keep me reading for a while. Everyone was nice and even though there was a language barrier they spoke enough English to communicate properly. I only have two complaints: the water in the hospital was cold which was fixed immediately and the beds in the hotel are hard. I just asked for extra pillows. I am a picky patient so I expect all to go well. Polite, nice, caring, and professional. Clean clean clean! Ask me questions I will answer them. I'm going to have broth now but will answer when I wake up from my nap.
  23. Yeah baby I am sleeved!!!!! I have pictures but I don't have the attention span to post them right now. I feel great! After the drain came out I wanted to dance.
  24. My surgery is tomorrow too. We got this!
  25. So I am at the Hotel Ticuan and it is nice and clean. I don't have any complaints except that the bed is hard but that's more of an opinion than a complaint. The hotel staff is nice and helpful and the driver is nice. This is only his 3rd week on the job and he was great. His English was great. He answered my questions about transportation without hesitation. I had a 5 hour flight from Louisiana and he was waiting at baggage claim for us. I saw a Jerusalem hospital van outside but I'm going to Mi Doctor. I will receive a call on when I have to be ready. We spent only about 3 minutes at the front desk before shown to the room. I will post again probably the day after surgery and let everyone know how it went.
