I have blue cross blue shield and they said I had to do Nutrician, behavior, and monthly classes. Then when my program ppl thought I was ready then I was brought up and approved to move forward. I started in August 2012. I was approved by the team in December. Had my surgeons appt in January. Got my insurance papers sent for authorization, got my date February 25th. Got my insurance papers in the mail the other day saying they accepted and now I am just waiting for the big day. So all in all 6 months.

I am getting my sleeve on Feb 25th. I am nervous but just because I have never had surgery before. My thoughts are I have tried everything, and I want to be healthy again. My concern is that I haven't told my side of the family because they are so negative about people having wls. So, my husband and his side knows because my mother in law just had it. She is doing great by the way, she has lost 28lbs in 5 weeks.

Im 24 and my surgery is on December 21st. The reason im having the sleeve is because i want long term weight loss and i want to be healthy. Im not doing it just to lose a few pounds i want this surgery to change my life for the better and be more confident about myself. Plus, since i am so young i can have this for the rest of my life and keep my weight off. I guess you just need to think about what you really want. I wouldnt rush into a pretty serious surgery just for a few pounds. Just my opinion.

Congrats you do look great! WOW, only 3 weeks out and 30lbs gone. You keep it up!
