  1. I agree. Your dr is pushing the band for his own reasons and not because it's the best WLS for you. Many people have gone miles just to to find the perfect dr that fits with their needs and it looks like you should also.
  2. LOL.. Laura you're such a post killer On a side note..I don't know what the OP posted other than her title because it's blank.. Why is that? Is her font white?
  3. Lucky you .. I can only wish for something like this with insurance approval. Congrats to you
  4. Yep, I'm getting to where I don't have any fat BUT.. That dang skin that's still hangin' around goes every which way but with me. Luckily I'm not much of a skin shower anyway and I'm able to wrangle it in with tight fitting clothes ;D
  5. Shame on this surgeon. I can assure you the band I not the way to go. Check my story in my profile. If this surgeon pushes the band it means he's not experienced enough to perform your sleeve. GO ELSE WHERE! He's too new to the procedure and him pushing the band says it all.
  6. I pre-op ate myself sick of food. Ate everything in sight and gained 10 pounds. I hated even the thought of food so I started my pre-op diet early and never had a problem.
  7. Last I heard it was 6 mos post op and 500+ comments? But.. Who knows..?
  8. People around here have been banned for their behavior.. Many times. Is that what you're asking? I don't know anything about the chat room.. I thought that was gone
  9. There are quite a few nongender posters that could get away with responding on both. Nothing states that we have to specify gender or post a profile pic. Heh.. I'm pretty sure my comments would give me away though
  10. Hahaha.. I never noticed the dot rank before
  11. Since not everyone can respond to the topic where it stands... I'm guessing that most responses in the man/woman rooms are without noticing that the post was in a restricted area. I admit I am one who only reads the title of the posts and never the category it's located in. So, please forgive us if we accidentally respond to something in the wrong room. Just a kind reminder is needed and I'm it's easy to delete.
  12. Congrats.. What a great feeling it is to achieve some goals.
  13. I was way into my 6th month before I noticed any real loss?. But some gets to be that wee bitty % that doesn't lose
  14. Yep, pretty much everyone does. Those who say the don't.. Are kidding themselves or out right lying I suppose there's a very very slim chance you may be the .01 % that may not lose any hair, but just prepare for the hair loss and if you don't lose any then great
  15. If you use the search bar there's lots that comes up about him
  16. I believe the closer you are to a goal weight or to what your body believes is a good weight.. The slower you lose. I think it's your body's way of saying "I'm hanging on to what I can"
  17. Yum... I'm drooling now
  18. Although everyone recovers differently there isn't any difference in the fact that you SHOULD NOT LIFT ANYTHING MORE THAN 10lbs for a few weeks. I had no down time and was vacationing as soon as I left hospital.. But I knew better than to do any lifting.
  19. I only weigh myself once a week at the most or sometimes every 2 weeks. I lose a lb here and there, but extremely slow. I'm ok with it.. As long as its less than what I was, I'm happy. I think the closer you are to goal the much harder it is to lose.
  20. Happy Happy Birthday Lip Lady.. 29 again? I had to give up 29 when my daughter got older than me
  21. Mine was a seven week stall.. Or more! I stopped counting and just ignored the time. It slowly started to come off and I tried to be patient and just work with what I was dealt.
  22. I had a reduction in 2001 at 34EEE down to 34C/D I'm almost at goal and I'm 34C ... Not as perky, but not bad. At least it's wonder brable ;D
  23. On the other hand.. Wouldn't it be nice if this was our greatest worry in life? Yippee... It's Friday
