I can eat anything
I was sleeved a few days before you and I can eat anything too. But nothing in the amt as pre-sleeved. I kind of slipped over the weekend while on a girls weekend, but I'm trying to rail myself back on track. I refuse to fail. Need to get our minds back in the game

Edamame (?sp) wondering if anyone post op eats this? Do you like?
Trader Joes sells these in their frozen foods and they look yummy.

Always get a second opinion.

Greetings from WA!
I'm with your dr. No one should use synthroid unless it'ts absolutely needed and NEVER for weightloss. Synthroid has some serious side effects that I would never want to take chances with. Not sure what your nutritionist was thinking.. Unless you have an abnormal thyroid. Your dr knows best. Welcome to the Seattle area and there are a lot of us around the area with a couple threads going. You'll do great!

I must be a freak..
Yes! This is the attitude you need to set your self for success. I was so pumped to get going and start my new life that I felt nothing was going to get in my way. I've kept that feeling and attitude and it's been a lifesaver. Good luck!

All of a sudden not feeling well :(
Hope you're feeling better. Secondhand smoke can cause ulcers? I am notorious for ulcers.. this is worrisome!

Vacation after surgery?
You won't know until post-op. Everyone is so different. I vacationed for two weeks as soon as I was discharged from hospital but others are unable to do anything for weeks.

I've never ever heard of this nor have I ever been asked to sign any forms on this matter. I've had several surgeries in MX. BUT, It doesn't surprise me.. Since you mentioned the surgeons name, though. SMH

Newly Sleeved: My night in the ICU
Glad you recovered and that your surgeon accepted the fact of something gone/done wrong.

No change in weight for 15 days at 3 months out

Any Seattle support groups?
Just curious, but do they check your Id or scars or what not and decide if you're part of the WLC group or what.. I mean how do they know who is who with who?

Anyone Here In Washington?

Sorry you are going through this and my thoughts are with you.. And hopefully they can get ahead of your issues. You mentioned you got an ulcer while in hospital? How is that?

Aetna says NO coverage
WLS is excluded from many peoples policies... It's sad, but it's final in regards of insurance coverage. There are a few very doable and positive options out there. If you want the surgery bad enough you can find the way. Some people feel they won't be around long enough to see their retirement/investment monies due to their health .. so why not spend it on your life now? It's doable.. Good luck

Self pay initial consult question

I know its a compliment but still
Well.. At least people notice you lost weight. NO ONE HAS SAID A WORD TO ME. Which is kind of ok because I have a hard time with compliments.. But still! This is why I never compliment people about weight loss by saying they look great, I try to reference to how healthy they look.

To Whom it May Concern...
YES I'm a huge, unpaid, unsolicited, unknown, advocate for WLS in MX. Basically, because of the vast experience over state side surgeons. As patients, It's important to have extensive knowledge prior to going and it's a whole lot better with what you posted. Good job girl with blue tongue
