  1. Other... as in I'm a member via your lapband forum
  2. Yep.. I was a hopin' and a prayin' for menopause, but ooooh no, I got a visitor right after surgery and ever since! Ugh!
  3. My thoughts and prayers to Rox's family and friends. Such a tragic thing to happen.. Regardless of the location.
  4. You shouldn't vomit with the sleeve. It means something is wrong.. You're either eating too quickly or too much or something else is wrong. There's always a reason.
  5. Don't forget to give yourself some credit, too! It takes work
  6. I was tired of being unhealthy. I never wanted to diet again. I wanted to lose weight by eating correctly and no other way. It's been a slow process, but I've never been happier with myself/health as I am right now.
  7. You've done a great job! You're so close, don't give up.. You look awesome!
  8. AWESOME!!!! Thank you for coming back with such encouragement
  9. No joke... That's what my brush looked like everyday (except blonde). It gets better though
  10. I think with time we get lax about slider food and not pay attention to just what we eat. I'm only 9 months out and I bet I could eat a huge bucket of popcorn.. But only 4-5 oz of protein.
  11. Good going, girl!
  12. Dr Rod is an excellent surgeon and you will be very pleased. I had him for a few of my surgeries and would have had him for my sleeve if it could have been scheduled when I had time. Good luck and have fun while you there
  13. I think you missed a huge factor. I personally researched for a dr who had more experience in the procedure than just education. A framed document of education and fellowship in bariatrics doesn't mean he's well qualified and experienced in VSG. It means he's maybe had loads of education and a lot of lapbands and RNYs under his experience, but very few US surgeons have the vast actually experience that some of the MX surgeons have with VSG. I don't want a surgeon who simply has paper work to show he can perform the VSG
  14. Oh I see. I thought you meant a stomach ulcer. Hoping for a quick and easy recovery for you.
  15. My stomach is what my husband and I refer to as the mine field from the gazillion lap surgeries I've had. The ones from years ago are hardly noticeable and the others are fading too.
  16. Sheesh.. I was feeling ok until I caught up on reading this thread. Y'all have done so much better than me. I've accepted that I'm a slow loser and all, but dang... Y'all are doing awesome!
  17. Go on the MX thread here.. There's tons of info and opinions. My surgeon s posted on my stats and he was excellent. I think I was around your BMI . Good luck
  18. Great job... You look awesome and I bet you feel soooo much better!
  19. Hey.. I went to frost donuts because Fidleman made me.. And I'm so proud I didnt order one thing.. Notta! They were out of donuts.. But proud nonetheless
  20. You're asking about Mexican surgeons being certified by America's ABMS and FACS?
  21. Yep.. Gotta kick the carbs. I was on a girls vacay and also need to detox. Arrgghh!
  22. Seriously.. That's in reference to the flippin' horse. Ok, maybe this thread does need to put to death. Sheesh!
  23. Heh.. Alex can play "dr kervorkian of the thread" all he wants we always manage to resuscitate a thread.
