  1. If you search Dr Ponce De Leon you will find a lot of helpful info. He was my dr and and I have nothing, but excellent things to report.
  2. Ive never left a restaurant without a to-go box and then I eat it for lunch all week... If my son doesn't find it first
  3. If you can change your mind because of this post ... You're not ready for the surgery. It's not a cure. Good for you to know ahead of time that you will be a failure. OP, some have the right mind set to succeed and do it cold turkey so to say. Some don't quite have their minds set right and therefore need help along the way. You can still succeed if you seek the help you need to be successful. If you truly do want this to work you will do what needs to be done. Also, I don't have any pain either. I do get full and learned when to recognize it and stop eating even though I could probably stuff more in. If you want it... It's yours
  4. Not sure what you mean by it will effect your work so everyone needs to know? I'm a medic and not one person I work with there knows. Maybe I'm missing something?
  5. CONGRATS! And dang.. You beat me ... But awesome nonetheless
  6. Pre op I loved and consumed eggs nonstop, but the first time I ate an egg pre op I wanted to gag. 10 months out now and i have no appetite for eggs.
  7. Between bites of pizza and cheese burgers
  8. This is why some of us require a break from the occasional idiocy ... I got tired of the complaints of the very normal and expected stalls. When someone has a 7+ week stall like me then go ahead and whine ...until then, suck it up! ;D
  9. I have never found it necessary to request my medical records from any of my MX surgeries. Surgeons up here have never hesitated in treating me
  10. My oringinal goal was 125, but my PCP suggested 135 because I'm 5'3" and 56 years old. I gave into 130 give or take a few pounds. I'm comfortable where I am and feel very healthy because of my new eating habits.
  11. My surgeon told me I'm a candidate for the short scar technique and that's hidden in the armpit. You would have to see a surgeon in order to find out which would work best on your underarms.
  12. I'm 56 and yep loose skin is an issues. Nothing that spanx doesn't cure, except the bat wings. I'm not up for putting my poor sorry body through any more surgery, but if I were to do any it would be the arms because it's hard to hide.
  13. Congrats to you.. Way to go! I can't seem to lose my last pounds, but I'm ok if it takes longer.
  14. Heh.. I agree. You don't have to eat like a pig to be healthy. Fact.. Quite the opposite. Im just over 9 months out and I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my life.
  15. Awesome new life! You look beautiful and soooooo happy! Congrats!
  16. Yes, keep us posted! I certainly trust you over any advertisement. I'll let you be my Cordinator
  17. Females are NOT allowed in here so get your opinions outta here. It's a forum rule
  18. Have you changed your diet
  19. It all depends on your recovery. I could have done the driving. A lot f us flew several hours and that's about the same. I drove three hours home from airport.
  20. I never did drink differently from before surgery. Of course, I can't drink more than 8 oz at a time Hugh.l but when I walk/ride my bike I drink like a horse
  21. For me, it comes out being like a thin crust pizza. I could probably tweak it to be thicker and softer, but I like it crunchy
  22. At times I got stuck for several weeks at a time. The closer to your goal the harder your body hangs on to what you want to lose.
  23. I agree that you're not returning to old habits, but more like afraid to leave you're old habits so you don't face it. We've all been there and once you're over one hurdle you're off to face another, but with accomplishment.
  24. You're not alone as long as you're around here. Even with a personal support group we sometimes feel alone and I find this is my best source of empathy support and WLS friends. Hang in there
  25. You're in my prayers and hope you all the best. Keep us posted.
