  1. So I am at home, showered and ready to go. I'm pretty nervous... I was excited til I let my boyfriends mum get to me. She keeps saying things like I'm a beautiful young lady and I don't need to do this and that because I have been losing weight lately I should be able to do it on my own. She says the side effects are extremely bad (she was researching the wrong procedure, when I pointed this out she just yelled that the side effects are the same). Last night my boyfriend went to her house and she said to him "just remember when she's sick, she did this to herself" I know she is worried about me but I really don't need someone trying to talk me out of this days before I'm supposed to have surgery. Especially since I've known for a long time I want to do this. Anyway it's 1 hour til I have to be at the hospital, it's only 5 mins away from my house so it's pretty good. Wish me luck!
  2. Hi how are you going now? Have the bruises gone down? Any more nausea? Hope alls good
  3. My surgeon only told me about alcohol because I specifically asked about it, he didn't give me a handout or anything. He said its ok to have after 4 weeks out. I get why your asking Sarah, if its only about calories you might think you can have one or half a one but if it poses a real risk to your health you might think differently. I don't know why people are acting like this, it's a perfectly valid question!
  4. Hi Brooke, I'm 20 and I'm getting sleeved tomorrow. Maybe after I'm sleeved I'll be more helpful haha. Just letting you know there are others out there
  5. I'm having my surgery the same day... Tomorrow! Good luck everyone
  6. Thanks so much for posting this. I have been looking for something detailed especially now I am going into surgery in 2 days!! Good luck with recovery and thanks again
  7. I'm having surgery this Monday!!! Good luck! I can't eat yogurt afterwards until I'm two weeks out, in the purée stage. It's not technically a liquid so you aren't supposed to eat it in the liquid stage. Just follow your doctors orders exactly, that's what I plan on doing
  8. My surgery is this Monday. Only four days away!! I am really nervous. I have been on my Pre op diet for two and a half weeks. It's been challenging but I found a brand of shakes that I really like. My surgeon is dr brancatisano is Sydney Australia. He is the best apparently. Anyway wish me luck
  9. I'm going to take pole dancing classes, wear a mini dress, go para sailing, rock climbing, go to a formal evening, wear a bikini... So many things haha
  10. I'm 20 too and pretty nervous. But I just think of it like this: I am young enough now to turn my life around. I have already wasted too long being overweight, never doing the things I wanted to or going where I want. Now I have the tool I need (sleeve) to change my life so why wouldn't I do it? We are still so young with so much to look forward too!!! Good luck xx P.s message me if you want to chat sometime
  11. Hi, welcome! We are about the same age so message me If you want to talk

I like them but I have a friend who doesn't. To make it taste better she uses chocolate flavor, adds ice when she mixes and a splash of milk with the water. Her version does taste pretty good to me.
  13. When I have lost weight in the past the first place i lost from was my face and my boobs
  14. Awesome job on the weightloss!! I would think of it like this: a larger person can lose lots of weight eating 1000-1200 cals a day but once you start losing weight you should lower it to 800 so that weightloss can continue. I have no idea about the 3 meals a day thing though... I think 6 meals is better especially because the meal sizes are so small, we should be eating more often.
  15. I have implanon in my arm too. I haven't asked my surgeon about birth control but I am next week
  16. Hello, I haven't had the surgery yet but if you want to chat just message me
  17. I've heard of people putting salt in their chocolate milk, I've never tried it but it sounds weird haha
  18. That really made me smile, before and after pic?
  19. Good job!! I'm doing the couch to 5k so hopefully I'll be able to say the same soon.
  20. I would definatly talk to the doctor, or even see a different one
  21. I told my partner (we live together so he would find out sooner or later), my mum and my sister. I don't think I will tell anyone else, no one else really needs to know
