Ladies, what do you consider your ideal dress size ?
I can certainly live with being a size 12....Lower and I will feel too small I think. Since I am built with no shape straight up and down. I could live very happily in a 12. Now if all 12's were the same like in men's clothing...you know a size 40 is a size 40 where ever you go. But it depends on make and brand for women...I really dislike this gauntlet we have to go through to buy clothes that fit. But I digress. As I said I am 5'8" I could be happy in a 12.

pin hole leak
Just finished another 4 day stay at the hospital. The abscess refilled itself, only this time it was a lot faster then the last time. They put another drain in it and they want me to keep it in for 3-4 weeks more and hopefully that will solve the problem because it should collapse the abscess. It is in a place that is very painful, under my Diaphragm. 3 weeks I go and get it removed and then I have to have a scope to see if there are any loose staples and if there are then they have to be removed.... I no longer fear the hospital. That has all but disappeared.....Here's to hoping time heals all wounds!

Two new milestones this morning!
What are you eating to lose that much weight in such a small amount of time. Don't get me wrong it is wonderful if you are not starving yourself to do it..Just worried that you are not getting enough nutrients from what you are eating.

Quote
I loved this quote. It means to me that in my future I will be my own person with my own thoughts and ideas at the end of this path....Hope you will too! When I am an old woman I shall wear purple. With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me. Jenny Joseph

Question about carbs
When you eat carbs. Try very hard to have a complex carb. Then it becomes a complete Protein which will help you feed your body! http://www.buzzle.com/articles/complex-carbohydrates-list.html

COME TO MY PITY PARTY!
I've tried so hard to avoid those parties. Human nature dictates that it is going to happen at times....Looking at this as a life long adventure gives me the courage to not compare or worry about others successes as I will have my own in every way thanks to my sleeve. It is because of WLS that I even have a life.....

Personal Update... A year and 8 months post-op!
I agree with your comments about the journey being hard and things happening a long the way that we have to really work to overcome. Also so many are in a hurry for results ( numbers ) that they forget it is a life long trek. Congratulations on your successes!!!!

Advice please
I could tell you so many things but the one thing that I really want you to think about: Is whether you can except anything that might happen because of this new tool. Can you take it if you have issues like a possible leak?..Are you willing to go through it all for your goals? Many think that they are ready and educated and then they have complications and they can't handle it at all. There are risks with all surgeries. Make sure you know what yours might be and whether your willing to go through the possible hoops for this!

Not doing well at all :(
There is such a thing as head hunger. We use food to fix all our problems..It does not do it. I would think about the abuse you are doing to your sleeve. You have not even healed yet. Also whatever you thought would happen it is a tool not a miracle fix. You get the sleeve and that is where the real work begins. This is where you start to learn about your new buddy and feed it properly. The pureed stage is important because it is slowly bringing your stomach back to real food. You won't be able to fix your body until you fix your brain and the way you see food. Yes you have a new condition to work with but there will always be something to test our resolve to stay true to the program. Some people never lose the hungry feeling. Some people can eat anything and it does not bother them. That does not mean that you should. Think about why you did this. Why you wanted to improve your health over all and mark this day and tell yourself you can do this..... Start logging your intake. Put Protein in the front. ( dense protein ) when you get back on track. Water 64 oz and then add veggies, fruit and complex carbs. There is no way that a person can eat at your stage what you are eating and not have issues. How you feel about food changes when you change. when you learn what the triggers are for you. When you stop using food as the answer to every situation that does not go well. Your not alone. We are here and will encourage you to start again at your next meal. There is never failure it is a postponement of sorts. Your sleeve is still there...Use it wisely and fix your thinking.....

I feel like crying!
You know what you have! @@chelseabell91 You have character. I can see it in your pictures.....Don't beat yourself up over this issue. Weigh a couple times a month and watch the inches and clothes sizes....You have a shape...I don't! I forgot about that and now I am a stick again....I would rather have a waist and hips...Oh well....Your doing it Peter! Just keep swimming okay!

Has anyone eating food before they were supposed to? Or drink before or after eating? I have. Now, I am getting nervous
Think possible leak. Then, them trying to fix it. Time in hospital and pain and agony as you are trying to get better. Right now your new sleeve is raw from being made. A staple line that has not started to heal yet is being stretched. Even now your body is still trying to get rid of the medications they put in your body during this procedure. Right now you need to be treating yourself with tender loving care. Start working on WHY you are abusing yourself like this and not following the program. You might hurt yourself if you keep it up. And if you stop you may find that you are a lot stronger then you think you are.

EASY WAY OUT!
I for one have been very grateful to this so called easy way out...Without this surgery I would not be who I am today...Yes much smaller but I have much more compassion and understanding of the underlying issues for myself and others that struggle with eating disorders and life in general.... When I came home from hospital a nurse said that I really didn't lose 70 lbs. The hospital lost them for me during my five month stay with complications. Later the same nurse said that I took the easy way out.... Later I found out that they were working with a very large man and not encouraging him to do something about it....He died...I was horrified...A life snuffed out because of ignorance... It is up to us to decide for ourselves if this is the best choice for us. Hang the rest...I am a live not dead like others when professionals did not do their job which is to help people when they are ill, sick or dying. I had the chance to change and I took it. It is sad to me that others were not given the same options and paid for it with their life!

Can u still PB with the Seeve?
You have to treat this as a sleever would now. And this is very common. A week ago I was all worked up over something and did not chew my food as much as I should have. The same thing happened to me but I could not throw it up It just laid there until I could drink some Water and it worked its way down.. We will always have the clear and unmistakable signs that we did something wrong...Hope the Salmon was good...I love fish myself now!
