  2. I want to get back to my wonderful normal busy life, before surgery and complications brought it all to a stand still. Our family routine may be full and hectic but I can't wait to be wrapped up in it.
  3. Get more active is the key I think. Some do this in the gym some go hiking. Exercise is not just working out. Just move and build on that you will be please where that leads.
  4. Just curious is their a difference between eating disorders and feeding disorders? I never heard it put as feeding disorder?

  7. This is not normal and needs medical attention. Has it been this way the who.e 6 weeks?
  8. I am very surprised at how little the general public's knowledge is about the sleeve. When I have told someone they see. To get mixed up with the lap band. I have had to explain no they do not put a sleeve on my stomach several times. So when you do tell educate.
  9. That is a hard stage when protein shakes do not sit well. I have heard some say SFjell-o will fill you up

  11. I find this makes the goal of 64oz of fluid per day even harder!!
  12. Get out and become more social. Church, community activities, etc. you said you work and come home only to go out and shop so that is why you are not meeting anyone your not making yourself available. Remember go places where the kind of man you are looking for might be: book clubs, art gallery, enrichment place such as museums and so forth.
  13. After surgery gas and acid reflux can feel like hunger. Take gas x and an antacid see if it goes away. If not feel up on Protein. What stage are you in liquid, purée, soft?
  14. You put a bunch of addicts together detoxing and there is bond to be some hissing and growling. I find those who have had more serious complications or harder travels down this road for whatever reasons are most passionate about their belief of what is the right way. Sometimes it may not come off this way but I believe they are just trying to save everyone from suffering what they have. The delivery just fails to display the motive. I am one with a serious complication. I wish I could make it a rule everyone must get an MRI to show the doctor any scar tissue. I reported I had a C Section but no imaging was done. I almost died. I feel a lot of guilt because a surgery I chose almost took me from my family. If some one posted concerning scar tissue I could see myself with a strong response because I feel the need to save them. I would be frantic about it not really concerned with politeness just being sure they knew they must make the doctor do imaging! Many of those who jump on someone for eatting wrong fear the poster will cause a leak by putting their sleeve under to much stress. I am only 3.5 weeks post op and I live in such fear of a leak!! Have you read the horror stories of those who lived through a leak? I can understand a passion from them not wanting anyone else to walk through that hell. That being said we all need to try and raise above hormone, hunger, regret, and fear to be civil and supportive to each other. Wishing all sides a Merry Christmas and a skinny New Year. I hope all of us find skinny = happiness in our lives.
  15. Thos little day to day weight shifts will drive you crazy. Just remember it can all be swelling and if your getting discouraged by it only weigh every third day or once a week. I know that can be hard but it will reduce the stress if you can be strong enough to resist stepping on daily.
  16. Also try buying the chicken or tuna salad from the sandwich meat are of grocery store already made. It is purée really well n the Ruth's brand. I have also been purée the hormel complete meals.

  20. No need for apologies that what we are here for. Unload upon us? I know the depression that comes from complications. Talk it helps, post here it helps. Prayers lifting for you
  21. Just wanted to share my experience but I respect each must make the decision to tell or not tell for themselves. I chose to tell very few people but when I ran into a complication with a five day hospital stay many folks came to know. Then I felt the smug relation from some that they found out something I didn't want them to know.
  22. No That would be all carb and fat. You need Protein and low carb and low fat. Stay away from bread, pasta, rice and move toward lean meats, eggs, low fat cheese, and veggies
  23. You can basically purée anything you want. Stick to healthy proteins. You have work to hard to purée junk food.
