  1. Thankyou! The one thing I'm surprised about is that it's not gas pains that I hear everyone talking about.
  2. It was supposed to be on Friday but something came up with the surgeon and he asked if I can come in today instead.
  3. I had no idea I would be in so much pain while in recovery. I also thought they had the pain meds started before I got to recovery. I have had other surgeries in the past and did not experience anything like before. Good thing is the pain is WAY down but that is bc my pain meds were increased. Hopefully I am not having issues tomorrow
  4. The only person that knows is my husband. My supervisor at work knows I'll be out but he doesn't know for what. I work for a large corporation and eveything is done thru HR and MetLife for std and he doesn't get details. Aside from everyone on here no one else knows. Unfortunately I am surrounded by a LOT of judgemental people and I just don't want to hear it.
  5. Good morning and GOOD LUCK to anyone who is getting sleeved with me today! We will all wake up to a new life! I will have everyone of you in my thoughts!
  6. Ok so nothing to eat or drink after midnight. My last supper is not what I would have thought a last supper should be but this is what I wanted....tilapia filets with near east almond rice and yellow squash. Now dessert is something different...a sundae. I know I know I probably shouldn't do a last supper but the I just had to have a sundae.
  7. Yes we can be! It's only 2 days:)
  8. It's crazy bc I don't think I will ever be ready. I guess I'll be ready when they wheel me out! Lol
  9. Yes I was but I got a call this morning saying that the surgeon won't be able to do it Friday bc something came up.
  10. It's funny how I have complained that no one was having surgery on the same day as me and my dr changed my surgery date! I'm now 9/19.
  11. Yeah I can't wait! I'm so excited. It also very nervous and scared! I just can't wait for the new beginning! The only person that knows is my husband (he kinda has to know) and my supervisor at work and he still doesn't know why I will be out he just knows I'll be out. So I had to prepare them!
  12. Ok so my surgery was scheduled for 09/21 which is this friday. I get a call just a few mins ago and was told that my surgeon will not be able to do it on Friday because something came up and he will not be in town on friday so they asked if I can move my surgery up to 09/19 which is wednesday. Now my anxiety level has gone up a few notches.
  13. Great job JLS!! 10lbs is awesome:). I havent thought about taking actual measurements but I do plan on taking before pictures when I'm at the hospital the day of. Maybe I will post them on here:)
  14. Yay jls! I hope there are no issues that will cause it to be pushed back. One more week and we will be sleeved!
  15. What I was told is the actual nicotine can keep you from healing properly. It's great that you are not actually smoking but the nicotine that is contained in the patch and gum is still nicotine and that is what the doctors don't want in you. I smoked for 15 years until I decided this was the path I wanted to go. I quit cold turkey and know that it's very difficult to go that route. I would let your doctor know so they are aware.
  16. That works bc I would have to buy smaller clothes when i lose weight anyways. My ultimate goal is to shop at Victoria's secret but it would be harder to guess what size I will be with that
  17. Is anyone buying a goal outfit?? I'm afraid I will buy an outfit and once I get to my goal weight I may still not fit in it. I don't know what I should do?
  18. Lol!!!! Omg this made me lol literally! I wear them on special occasions and never in public bc I don't want people to have to watch me pick that intentional wedgie!
  19. Unfortunately I am in the same boat. Even though I know it's wrong I am doing it. I am not required a preop diet so I am eating what I want now and will do my own preop diet the week of.
  20. Oooh ok I already got all my insurance required stuff done:) I have surgery preop stuff like blood work and stuff left to do
  21. I'm glad you posted this bc I go for all my preop stuff on Wednesday!
  22. Absolutely!! I have looked on some of the other threads and found out that everyone was having surgery on every day in September EXCEPT for Sept 21st lol I think it will help having 2 others having surgery the same day as me.
  23. I was too. I actually wondered if she is not doing everything the right way when she is not around us.
