im dealing with it as best as i can. I am VERY frustrated that all I want to do is eat with my husband instead im stuck with just liquids. Ive gone 4 weeks like this and he wants me to continue until my next appointment which is in 4 weeks or if it feels right and everytime it has felt right i get sick. They did an upper GI last week and everything was normal. They said everything should be working find but std its my new anatomy getting used to the new anatomy. My Surgeon told me yesterday that there was still swelling going on in there and that could cause issues. He says at this point its a waiting game.

They changed me to Ativan for nausea and I thought it was helping until yesterday when it was just a puke fest

Well I wasn't really able to have any food puréed or whatever. It all felt stuck and felt like it was coming back up. Well the last couple of days I've been vomiting so he said no foods just liquids.

O I had my 1 month follow up and I was told to just go back to a liquid diets. No puréed ( nt like I was able to tolerate it anyways). This nausea won't go away:(

Exactly! Bc lane Bryant was the only place I could get clothes at and it felt amazing! I started crying. I haven't shopped in regular store since high school and that was 15 years ago! I've stalled some and I did not buy a lot bc I know I WILL lose more. Next goal is Victoria Secrets:)

Ok so to give u an idea before surgery I was in a 22 top and a 22/24 bottom. I was never able to fit into regular women's size xxl. Well today I went shopping bc the clothes I am currently wearing r getting to big. I went to kohls and shopped in the regular woman department and bough an XL sweater and it fits! I also went to old navy and bought a couple of tops that were also XL! I am now down to a size 18 jean:). It just feels so good to be able to shop in a regular department store!

I was sleeved on 9/19 and lost 32lbs so far but have been at a stall for a few days

Congrats!!!! How have u been doing on Ur post op diet?

That's what I'm afraid of:(. I really enjoy fruits and its really the only thing I really craving. I got sleeved on 9/19 and my taste buds have changed so much to the point I hate a lot of stuff I used to like except fruit. I'm still craving it:(

How long before you guys were able to eat fruit like apples, oranges, and melon? I have ALWAYS loved fruit and I can't not wait until I can have my favorite honeycrisp apples!

They originally sent me home with Pepcid and it did not work at all! Then they gave me Prilosec with definitely works! I have not had heartburn since the.

The only symptom that I'm really having is food doesn't really want to go down. I'm not having the nausea as I did before but food still doesn't want to go down.

My surgeon wants to do an endoscopy to see if I have a twisted stomach. Has anyone had this or knows someone who has? How is it corrected?

Shop at Victoria secrets Go to a normal store to buy clothes Have skinny sex:) Go to a resturaunt and not ask the hostess 1000 questions about the booth to see if I will fit in it Not to be the fat person in my group of friends Being able to groom myself without without huffing and puffing bc of the position I have to get myself into....sorry tmi:) There are more but these are the biggest ones.

I would stick with a soup and avoid any chucks considering your only 19 days post op. I wouldn't think any surgeon would recommend solid foods that early

Lol I thought my dogs were the only ones benefiting from me not being able to eat everything lol! They watch me eat now:)

K so I was sleeved on 9/19 and had actually gained a little weight prior to surgery and started at 262. Yes I know probably not a good idea to gain weight before surgery but I wanted to make sure I ate stuff I knew i would not be able to eat for a while:) anyways I ended up with some complications first with an infection in my drain tract, then an issue with " white foamy vomit" as my surgeon calls it, and dehydration. I have been back to the hospital 3 times since surgery because of dehydration alone. I was also not able to eat any puréed foods. I was put on a puréed diet once I left the hospital. It ended up getting to the point to where I could not drink anything without throwing up. And for whatever reason I felt better ..out of the blue. No more nausea no pain nothing. I have been able to eat only a very tiny amount but at least I am able to get some foods in and my fluid intake has improved. I am not anywhere near where I need to be but it has improved so much. I am hoping it gets better everyday from now. I am supposed to be moved to soft foods starting 10/15 so hopefully I will be able to tolerate it. My weight loss so far has amazed me but I am also sure part of it has to do with the fact that I have not had any foods and hardly any fluids but I went from 262 to 230 as of this morning. That is 32 lbs in2 weeks and 4 days. Just feeling better and wanted everyone to know

I was in the hospital for 2 nights which is standard for my surgeon and I am out of work for 4 weeks which works for me bc I have had a few complications. The 4 weeks was approved for fmla and short term. I have a desk job.

Oh no!!! I am so sorry. Here I thought I was having a lot of problems:(. What are they doing with this blood clot? Are they just giving you meds or do they have u in the hospital?

Please make sure your getting in your fluids. I have been back to the hospital twice bc of dehydration and its not fun:(. And if your dr is just saying drink more then I would unfortunately go to the emergency room because brown pee and pain is NOT good. Maybe you have a uti if you had a catheter in at the hospital. Please get it checked out I would hate it if something was seriously wrong and it was ignored.

Ok so I have tried powders even though famous nectar and other ready to drink protein shakes and I can not stand other the texture or taste of it. Today I had my husband pick up a couple of favors of the Isopure zero carb ready to drink drinks in the apple melon flavor and the icy orange. Now I have only tried the apple melon on but it's actually pretty good. It smells like apples and cantaloupe and taste like sour apple with a hint of cantaloupe. I hope I like the icy orange which I will try tomorrow.
