I'm going for my Preop tests tomorrow and I'm already nervous. Can anyone give me an idea what all they are doing, other than regular labs, for 3 hrs?

I'm glad you posted this bc I go for all my preop stuff on Wednesday!

I am ANOTHER pre-op test tomorrow... each person and each insurance is a bit different... I had to have an upper GI, stress test, checked by a pulmonologist and cardiologist...had to go AGAIN for my sleep apnea... then of course, the therapist, the nutritionist and NOW a Health Sessions class is mandatory... I have also had to attend a few support seminars... all good stuff, but I AM READY for my surgery!!! SCHEDULE ME PLEASE!!!

I go on the 19th for my pre-op tests.........it all depend on your surgeon what the program is...I have been told that I will see the surgeon for an hour..the guy who puts you to sleep.....dietition and a nurse......that will weigh me and take bloods and do some tests......I also have to sign a permission slip for the surgery....that is what I am expecting...........oh and will be given the address to order my 2 week pre-op liquid diet so I can order it asap.....
